About the role/team:
We are hiring an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to support our growth into F500 and G2000 customers! Reporting directly into the Head of Global Sales, this person will play a critical role in the growth of Pinecone as we expand the power of knowledge retrieval and AI infrastructure for Agentic use cases across the world’s largest organizations.
Responsibilities:
Owning a territory and quota of large Enterprises that you will prospect and break into to secure POCs and committed contractual relationships with.
Managing inbound leads through the BDR, PLG, and MQL channels
Lead all sales related activities through the various stages of the buying journey; in accordance to Pinecone’s defined sales process
Selling and winning against our competitors
Ensuring the customer is deployed successful and positioned for expansion
Partnering cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Marketing
Successful Pinecone Account Executives have a high degree of technical knowledge, and are comfortable selling into developers and engineering leaders. They are excited about working in a startup environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and ready to build an amazing business that will change the infrastructure landscape.
Requirements:
Experience in the infrastructure, data software, and genAI space is preferred
Experience selling to developers and engineering leaders is a must
Candidates should have a minimum 5-7 years experience as an Enterprise Account Executive, and must have direct experience with F500/G2000, closing net new logos
A consistent track record of performance above quota / top of peer group
Start-up and early stage experience is preferred
Pinecone is a hybrid working environment, but NY and SF-based candidates are preferred
