We are looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead a group of talented engineers at Owner. Our ideal candidate is an inspiring leader who is very technically strong/hands-on and brings positivity and passion to their work and their teams. This is a remote role which can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. For candidates based in San Francisco: we have a beautiful HQ in the Presidio, and we like to get together for periodic in-person collaboration!
The impact you will have
Lead fullstack engineering team(s) across Launch and Websites, building the product surfaces restaurant owners use to launch, activate, and grow on Owner
Collaborate closely with Design, Product, and the AI Agents team to identify and execute on high-impact initiatives, from self-serve activation flows to AI-powered website generation
Help define and evolve the architecture behind a fast-moving, AI-augmented product surface, partnering with Danial on cross-team technical direction
Hire, grow, and retain exceptional engineers who thrive in a high-trust, high-impact environment
Foster a culture of simplicity, quality, and continuous improvement across both teams
Contribute to code and architecture reviews, unblock teams, and lead by example when needed
Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Customer Success, and GTM to align initiatives with company goals
Who youโll work with
This role reports to our Senior Engineering Manager of PLG
This role will partner closely with Design, PMs and various stakeholders throughout the company.
You will lead a group of experienced and exceptionally talented engineers!
What weโre looking for
~3 years of experience in a software engineering management role leading fullstack product engineering teams, preferably in high-growth environments
A track record of leading high-performing, engaged full-stack engineering teams - not purely backend-platform or purely frontend teams
Strong product sense and an instinct for balancing speed, quality, and user impact
Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React) and backend systems (e.g. Node.js)
High degree of cross-functional collaboration - past colleagues in product, design, and business would speak highly of your teamwork
A plus: growth or PLG experience (self-serve activation, onboarding, upgrade flows) - desirable, not required
Pay and benefits
The estimated base salary range for this role is $230K-$250K, depending on experience and location. The offer also includes a generous pre-IPO equity package.
