Position Overview

We are seeking a highly meticulous, process-oriented, and analytical Document Specialist to join our Complex Claims division under a permanent, full-time remote configuration open across the United States. In this high-leverage data management and claims compliance seat, you will play a pivotal role in organizing, processing, and streamlining document workflows to ensure absolute data integrity. Shifting completely away from routine general helpline customer support, entry-level website layout adjustments, or non-regulated social media queues, you will operate an active medical charge validation, data transfer auditing, and itemized billing triage laboratory. Partnering directly beside distributed clinical auditors, system administrators, and internal operations cells, you will ensure proper routing, status assignment, and import queue maintenance. This position requires an operational specialist who handles relational data sets fluidly natively using Data Entry, Virtual Assistant, and Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) primitives, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and quickly tracks system defects via structured internal support channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Workflow Governance: Direct, organize, and execute complex document workflows, providing systematic quality assurance checks in strict accordance with internal compliance procedures natively utilizing Virtual Assistant primitives.
  • Incoming Claim Triage: Conduct rigorous reviews of incoming claims, assigning appropriate status definitions, organizing underlying metrics, and routing files to auditors with zero room for data anomalies.
  • Queue Maintenance & Balance Reconciliation: Collaborate close-knit alongside internal technical operations teams to maintain the core import queue, reconcile balances, validate charges, and resolve systemic routing errors natively deploying Spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
  • Itemized Bill Processing: Perform high-volume, hyper-focused data entry for itemized medical bills, maintaining absolute speed and accuracy indices across multi-monitor setups natively leveraging Data Entry techniques.
  • File Intake & Output Oversight: Monitor complex file-sharing and data transfer networks, immediately auditing and correcting discrepancies, file transfer volumes, and direct operational inquiries.
  • Production Issue Ticketing: Identify, isolate, and report production environment issues or computational defects by submitting detailed, clear technical service tickets to development teams.
  • Data Trend Analysis: Analyze behavioral data trends across internal documents and processing modules, formulating scannable status updates regarding inventory volume, routing efficiency, and inventory levels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted internal partner, engaging early in system error corrections and unblocking cross-team information flow to maximize customer impact.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or verified equivalent practical operational background (prior professional experience within a tech-enabled corporate office layout is required).
  • Expert Information Management Command: Meticulous hands-on track record managing multi-step document verification processes, complex file sorting systems, or digital data entry pipelines with strict attention to details.
  • Advanced operational computer literacy using core professional office packages and documentation applications (including complete comfort navigating Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and multi-monitor infrastructure tools).
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentation communication strengths in English, with an established ability to exercise critical thinking and prioritize tasks autonomously under fixed deadlines.
  • Location Context: Position operates under 100% remote parameters open exclusively to qualified healthcare data processing and administrative coordination authorities residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior platform or consulting history handling medical claims data natively inside the US healthcare infrastructure, medical billing, health insurance tech, or automated fintech sectors.
  • Direct operational familiarity utilizing unified ticketing systems, automated data transfer applications, or relational database tracking matrices.
  • An adaptable, high-ownership persona characterized by deep intellectual humility, an eagerness to ask why, and a strong focus on optimizing workflows for customer impact.

What We Offer

  • Stable United States Healthcare Tech Remuneration: A competitive hourly compensation rate established at a fixed scale of $15.00 USD per hour (non-exempt position parameters) with regular performance tracking metrics and growth reviews.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy open throughout the United States, freeing your day from rigid physical office commute traffic blockages.
  • High-Leverage Healthcare Impact: Elite professional checkpoints built by single-handedly blueprinting the document streams, verification pipelines, and queue data engines backing an AI health intelligence platform serving 270 million lives.
  • Comprehensive physical wellness coverage, featuring eligibility for health, vision, and dental insurance plans alongside flexible spending accounts (FSA).
  • Access to a matching 401(k) retirement savings choice, generous Paid Time Off (PTO), paid public holidays, volunteer days, tuition reimbursement funding, corporate-paid short-term disability protection, life insurance policies, and paid parental leave frameworks.
