Kapitus
View Company ProfileKapitus (formerly Strategic Funding Source) is a highly reliable, established direct lender and alternative financing marketplace engineered to empower small and medium-sized businesses. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in New York City, the company fundamentally solves the massive challenge of securing working capital for underbanked entrepreneurs who frequently face rejection from traditional banks. Under the hood, Kapitus leverages proprietary risk scoring models and a massive trusted network of lending partners to provide fast, highly flexible financing solutions—including revenue-based financing, equipment financing, SBA loans, and business lines of credit. Their primary target audience spans aggressive small business owners, independent medical practices, retail operations, and industrial companies that desperately need transparent capital injections (often approved in just a few hours) to scale operations or bridge cash flow gaps. What sets Kapitus apart in the heavily saturated alternative lending space is its "KapitusPLUS" platform—a hybrid architecture that seamlessly combines the speed and control of direct lending with the vast optionality of a curated marketplace, ensuring founders can rapidly secure the ideal financing package without the grueling friction of conventional banking.
