About Audiohook: Audiohook is a rapidly scaling financial and marketing technology innovator on an ambitious mission to turn performance audio advertising into a clear competitive edge. By providing a modern, data-driven audio ad platform, Audiohook eliminates media friction, unlocks campaign attribution transparency, and accelerates brand momentum for digital advertisers globally. Our unified systems connect premium audio surfaces, real-time bid pricing databases, and predictive modeling structures into one seamless logistics network—empowering modern growth leaders with the clarity and control they need to turn streaming ad spend into high-margin conversion outcomes.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly autonomous, systems-fluent, and causal-inference proficient Data Scientist to claim complete technical ownership over the measurement science behind Audiohook’s performance advertising platform under a permanent, full-time remote footprint open across the United States. In this high-leverage data science and optimization seat, you will act as the principal architect proving value to our enterprise clients—owning the long-term design of incrementality experiments, market mix modeling (MMM) trees, and multi-touch attribution metrics. Shifting completely away from routine non-regulated administrative transcription loops, entry-level website text entries, or standalone helpdesk ticketing, you will operate an active randomized control trial (RCT), Bayesian inference forecasting, and real-time algorithmic bidding optimization laboratory. Partnering directly next to distributed Engineering, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams, you will turn complex transaction variables into scannable charts and decision-ready business insights. This position requires a data scientist with 3–5 years of history who maps user lifecycles fluidly natively using Data Scientist, Data Analyst, and SQL primitives, demonstrates deep attention to model constraints, and builds reproducible data stack pipelines from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measurement Science Governance: Design, run, and scale sophisticated incrementality experiments—encompassing geo-testing matrices, ghost bidding tracking nodes, holdout groups, and public service announcement (PSA) controls natively utilizing Data Scientist primitives.
  • Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) Control: Build, validate, and maintain high-integrity attribution networks and Bayesian forecasting models to quantify Audiohook’s strategic lift for advertisers.
  • Causal Inference Instrumentation: Apply advanced mathematical frameworks—encompassing difference-in-differences, synthetic controls, instrumental variables, and propensity scoring models—to analyze conversion paths when RCTs are not feasible.
  • Bidding Engine Calibration: Partner closely beside core Engineering cells to design and optimize the underlying modeling layer powering platform bid pricing, ad pacing, and real-time optimization decisions.
  • Reproducible Pipeline Engineering: Author, audit, and distribute modular scripts and validation tests to ensure perfect experimental reproducibility, automated metrics monitoring, and premium data quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Alignment: Translate deep statistical findings into scannable narratives for enterprise accounts, guiding renewal conversations across Sales and Customer Success groups.
  • Data Stack Telemetry Operations: Query, clean, and analyze high-volume, large-scale ad event data logs (encompassing impressions, click tokens, and conversions) natively using SQL and big data pipelines.
  • Generative AI Automation Lever: Responsibly leverage advanced generative AI tools and machine learning helpers to accelerate exploratory data workflows, python code refactoring, and technical write-ups while maintaining methodological rigor.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Possess a formal Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a matching quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of proven, successful professional history operating within a Data Scientist, Quantitative Research Analyst, Marketing Attribution Specialist, Machine Learning Engineer, or closely matching tech-enabled analytics capacity.
  • Expert Statistical Programming Command: Complete, production-grade mastery manipulating databases and constructing models natively utilizing Python (specifically pandas, statsmodels, scikit-learn, PyMC, or identical suites) and SQL.
  • Demonstrated history designing and evaluating structural field experiments (A/B testing, geo-holdout matrices) specifically within an advertising, marketing, or user-acquisition context.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and textual communication strengths in English, with an exceptional ability to articulate abstract algorithmic biases or regression limitations clearly to non-technical business executive audiences.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified performance analytics authorities residing permanently within the United States.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior platform or vertical background operating directly inside the adtech ecosystem, digital media streaming networks, programmatic bidding architectures, or DSP/SSP frameworks.
  • Direct operational intimacy with Bayesian MMM toolchains (such as PyMC-Marketing, LightweightMMM, or Meta’s Robyn framework).
  • Practical working literacy across modern cloud enterprise data store configurations (explicitly including Snowflake, BigQuery, or Apache Iceberg layers).
  • An adaptable scale-up drive characterized by intellectual honesty, high autonomy, and an interest in attending our bi-annual corporate team offsites.

What We Offer

  • Top-Tier US Data Science Compensation Matrix: A highly competitive annual base salary scale of $120,000 - $170,000 USD calibrated precisely to your marketing measurement pedigree, augmented by performance bonus potentials and corporate equity opportunities.
  • 100% remote workspace infrastructure autonomy open across the United States, giving you ultimate lifestyle freedom from physical commuting blocks.
  • Category-Defining Performance Footprint: Elite career credentials built by engineering the primary measurement algorithms and causal evidence proving value for a rapidly scaling tech platform handling billions of ad event data points.
  • Comprehensive family-first health care preservation advantages, inclusive of premium Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance networks.
  • Access to an open, outcome-oriented remote culture featuring a daily lunch stipend, monthly wifi/cell-phone and subscription reimbursements, an annual dedicated hardware stipend, highly flexible Paid Time Off (PTO), and bi-annual corporate team offsites to connect face-to-face across changing US locations.
