Carrot is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our BI function as it scales to meet, and anticipate, the needs of the organization and its clients. This is an executional role providing essential analytics support across the company: you will gather requirements, field ad hoc and recurring data requests, and build the reporting dashboards that leaders across Carrot rely on to make decisions.

You will work hands-on with modern data tooling, including SQL, dbt, and enterprise BI platforms, and partner with teams across the business to translate their questions into clear, trustworthy answers. The BI team is highly cross-functional and sits alongside Data Engineering, making this a strong opportunity to sharpen technical skills while building broad business context in a mission-driven environment.

What You’ll Own

  • Design and build data models in SQL with a focus on correctness, clarity, and reusability
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key business metrics and inform decision-making across the company
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer high-priority business questions from stakeholders across the organization
  • Collaborate with teams across Carrot to understand their data domains, reporting needs, and success metrics
  • Contribute to data quality, documentation, and self-service BI capabilities as the function scales

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12–18 months, you will have:

  • Delivered accurate, well-documented dashboards and reports that stakeholders across the company trust and use regularly
  • Fully ramped on Carrot's data stack and core data domains, independently owning recurring and ad hoc reporting requests
  • Built strong working relationships with cross-functional partners and established yourself as a reliable analytics resource
  • Improved turnaround and consistency of reporting by creating reusable data models and reducing manual work

About You

You likely have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Intermediate-to-advanced SQL experience: ability to write advanced queries using joins, common table expressions, and window/analytic functions
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Looker, DOMO, or Power BI) to bring data insights to life for broad audiences
  • Basic statistics proficiency: experiment design, hypothesis testing, statistical significance, probability, and distributions
  • Ability to translate business intelligence needs from a variety of stakeholders into technical execution and clear presentation
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring:

  • Experience using dbt to transform, test, and document data
  • Experience working with healthcare industry data or in other complex, regulated data environments
  • Experience in a high-growth environment
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git preferred)
  • Understanding of effective data modeling strategies and implementations
