About Cardata

Cardata is where driven people make an outsized impact. We’re a small but mighty team transforming how businesses manage vehicle reimbursement — replacing outdated programs with smart, automated solutions.

Our vision is bold: to provide the most comprehensive, intelligent, and automated software and services for creating ideal vehicle programs. And we’re building toward that vision every single day.

Join us and you’ll find challenge, growth, and the chance to deliver real impact — helping hundreds of companies and thousands of drivers across North America focus on the work that matters most to them.

Cardata is looking for a Customer Success Associate with strong data and analytical skills who is interested in building a career in Customer Success. You’ll partner with Customer Success Operations and our Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to support the ongoing management of customer programs through reporting, analysis, and audits.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Cardata’s product, reimbursement programs, and the decisions customers make using their data. Your work will help CSMs prepare for program reviews, renewals, and expansion conversations by giving them accurate analysis and a clear understanding of what it means for the customer. This role is an opportunity to build the product knowledge and customer perspective needed for a future CSM role.

Note: this role does not own a book of business.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with CSMs to understand the goals of upcoming renewals, program reviews, quarterly business reviews, and audits, and clarify the data needed for each
  • Become an expert in Cardata’s reporting tools, using them to set up and prepare accurate reports
  • Use Excel to clean, compare, and analyze program data, investigate discrepancies, and verify your results
  • Prepare mileage band audits, running rate analyses, and other reports that help CSMs assess program performance
  • Work with CSMs to interpret findings and shape the story, recommendations, and customer impact they will bring into presentations and conversations
  • Create ad hoc reports for customer needs and document recurring reporting requirements

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in an operations, reporting, or data-focused role, such as Operations Assistant, Reporting Coordinator, Data Specialist, or Junior Data Analyst
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, including cleaning and comparing data, using pivot tables, and writing formulas
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate work; you use formulas, cross-checks, and other methods to verify results, and question numbers that do not make sense
  • Strong active listening and collaboration skills; you can understand a request, ask the right questions, and clarify what the analysis needs to answer
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines, communicate progress, and set clear expectations with colleagues about delivery
  • Strong curiosity about what the data means for a customer’s program and the ability to explain findings clearly
  • Learning agility and an interest in developing deep knowledge of Cardata’s products, reporting tools, and reimbursement programs

Cardata (operating at cardata.co) is a mileage reimbursement and vehicle program management platform engineered for businesses seeking precision, compliance, and cost efficiency. Founded in 1999 by former fleet executives who envisioned a better way to reimburse driving and manage vehicle programs, Cardata is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts. The company streamlines what is often a cumbersome, error-prone process—manually tracking, calculating, and reimbursing business mileage—by automating the workflow. Under the hood, Cardata’s software integrates real-time tracking via its mobile app, ensuring accurate logging of trips, automatic compliance checks against IRS standards, and tax-free reimbursements. This allows mid-sized to large enterprises to reduce administrative burdens, minimize compliance risks, and gain full visibility into their vehicle program expenses. While specific funding details are not publicly disclosed, Cardata has established itself as a trusted industry leader over two decades, serving clients across the U.S. and Canada.
