What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for focusing on core areas of the Company’s Legal Department:

  • Employment Law: You will be the lead attorney providing day-to-day advice to the Company’s People team, including advice on human resources policies and processes. You will also address potential claims relating to employment-law issues.
  • Litigation: You will provide day-to-day legal advice on potential or threatened claims, as well as any civil actions taken by or against the Company. This includes preparing risk assessments and settlement options.
  • Procurement Contracts: You will provide day-to-day legal advice on contracts with service providers, working directly with the Procurement team to review and guide proposed contracts.

Over time, you will be expected to research applicable law, analyze contracts, and prepare written analyses for Senior Counsel or General Counsel. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Advise on and lead investigations of whistleblower-related matters.
  • Advise on and collaborate on revisions to internal policies and procedures.

You can look forward to broader responsibilities, including administering standard contracts and collaborating with Sales teams on customer concerns.

Who You Are

  • A Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited institution, admitted to state bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience at a major law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with human resources and employment-law matters.
  • Experience in employment-law claims or litigation.
  • Experience reviewing regulations and advising on compliance with employment-law requirements.
  • Some experience in general commercial litigation and handling employment litigation.
  • Experience reviewing and revising contracts outside of employment-law matters.
  • Sharp attention to detail and ability to explain facts, circumstances, and applicable law.
  • Some experience with whistleblower claims and investigations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple assignments, and work across priorities.
  • Independent, self-starter capable of addressing near- and long-term interests.
