WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Consultant Relations Vice President is a senior role responsible for helping to drive bswift’s national consultant engagement strategy and serving as the primary executive liaison with some of the most influential benefits brokers, consultants, and third-party evaluators in the industry. This leader will play a critical role in delivering new revenue growth by ensuring bswift’s value proposition is consistently represented in consultant-led evaluations and RFP processes.

The Consultant Relations Vice President will provide market intelligence, influence product and service direction, and build strategies that drive measurable pipeline impact, revenue expansion, and sustainable market leadership through the consultant and broker community.

  • Revenue Growth & Market Development: Drive the consultant relations strategy with direct accountability for pipeline contribution and revenue influenced through consultant-driven opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to set measurable growth targets for consultant-sourced opportunities and monitor progress against goals.
  • Influence the RFP win strategy, ensuring bswift’s competitive differentiation is clear, compelling, and consistently positioned.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Sales, Client Services, Product, and Marketing to deliver coordinated and impactful consultant engagement strategies.
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence to inform product roadmap, sales strategy, and marketing positioning.
  • Act as the voice of the consultant community internally, ensuring alignment of business priorities with external expectations.
  • Thought Leadership & Industry Presence: Represent bswift at key industry conferences, events, and forums, reinforcing brand leadership and strengthening consultant relationships.
  • Coordinate events with regional brokers and consultants to build relationships and raise bswift brand awareness.
  • Deliver executive-level communications and presentations to consultants articulating bswift’s vision, innovation roadmap, and strategic direction.
  • Position bswift as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the benefits administration industry.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee consultant communications, CRM/database accuracy, and reporting to ensure engagement is measurable and scalable.
  • Continuously improve RFP process efficiency and consultant engagement workflows to maximize growth impact.
  • Executive Relationship Leadership: Serve as bswift’s executive sponsor with aligned top-tier national consultant and broker firms, ensuring bswift is viewed as a premier partner in benefits administration.
  • Expand reach by cultivating and maintaining senior-level relationships with mid- and emerging-tier firms to increase market influence and distribution opportunities.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience)

12+ years of experience in consultant relations, broker engagement, client service, or strategic relationship management within benefits administration, insurance, or HR technology, with demonstrated revenue impact.

Deep Benefit Administration knowledge and experience

Proven ability to design and execute a national consultant engagement strategy tied to pipeline and revenue goals.

Established track record of cultivating executive-level relationships with national consultant and broker firms that lead to measurable business growth.

Deep understanding of benefits administration, healthcare, and the broker/consultant ecosystem.

Exceptional executive presence, influencing skills, and ability to convey complex strategies to senior stakeholders.

Strong financial and business acumen with experience aligning consultant engagement to sales growth.

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Ability to travel up to 40% to meet with consultant partners and attend industry events.

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Education and Experience)

West Coast or Southern Region preference

Experience working directly with top-tier consulting firms such as Mercer, Aon, Gallagher, Lockton, or Willis Towers Watson.

Demonstrated experience leading broker/consultant engagement initiatives within an HR tech, SaaS, or benefits platform environment.

History of driving measurable growth through channel or partner ecosystems.
