We are looking for a skillful Backend Developer to join one of our teams working with US clients, specializing in the high-end American IT market.
Our tech stack is built around React, Node.js and TypeScript. We collaborate with well-established companies and startups in their early stages (MVPs), offering diverse and exciting challenges while crafting cutting-edge solutions.
Enjoy the flexibility of working within the Polish time zone and collaborate with clients from diverse industries such as FinTech, SportsTech, MedTech, and many others.
Your Future Tasks and Duties:
- Writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured Python code, leveraging AI coding agents while taking full ownership of the final solution
- Technical involvement in the product - finding ways to improve it
- Writing documentation for delivered code
- Peer code review
- Reuse and improvement of the company knowledge base
- Communicate with the team to efficiently translate business complexity (user stories/tasks) into solutions (end results/estimations)
- Continuous learning and growth
About You - Tech Skills & Experience:
- At least 6-12 months of commercial experience with Python (Python 3.10+)
- Understanding of Python fundamentals, type hints, OOP principles, common data structures, and writing clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Basic experience with Django - knowledge of core features (models, views, ORM, migrations), and experience on at least one project involving Django
- Familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of OOP, understanding of good practices, data structures, and writing SOLID and DRY code with design patterns
- Experience using AI (preferably Claude Code), but ability to write code independently without it
- Experience with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing basic SQL queries alongside Django ORM
- Experience with Git

Nice to Have:
- Open-source contributions
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and teamwork towards common goals
- Understanding of MVP significance and delivering top-notch results under tight timelines
- Experience with Django REST Framework or other Python frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask)
- Familiarity with Django Admin
- Experience with automated testing (e.g., pytest)
- Experience with Celery and Redis
- Experience integrating with payment/billing providers (e.g., Stripe, Zuora) or email platforms
- Knowledge of AWS and serverless experience
- Ability to run and use Docker images
