FreeWill, an award-winning social-good startup, is seeking an Account Manager to join the Partner Success team in a full-time remote role. This position focuses on accelerating support for 2,400+ nonprofits across Canada, generating $14B+ in gift commitments since 2017.
About the Role
FreeWill is looking for a dynamic Account Manager to ensure nonprofit organizations continue partnering with them annually, identify opportunities to expand partnerships, and build warm, scalable relationships with partners. The role involves managing renewals, upsells, and internal CRM processes while representing partner needs across the company.
The Goals
- Ensure nonprofit organizations renew annual subscriptions with FreeWill.
- Identify opportunities to expand partnerships to include additional FreeWill fundraising tools.
- Create strong, dynamic relationships with nonprofit partners.
- Proactively address internal and external challenges.
- Ensure tactics and processes are scalable as the team and partnerships grow.
- Understand and communicate partner needs to the internal team.
The Tactics
- Lead renewal and upsell meetings, prioritizing partner goals.
- Build strong internal relationships with Partner Success Strategists.
- Creatively pitch renewal and expansion plans based on individual partner needs.
- Represent nonprofit partner needs across the company.
- Communicate new FreeWill developments and proactively offer value to partners.
- Improve renewals and upsells project management systems, maintaining accurate CRM records.
- Surface feedback and trends to the broader team.
Requirements
FreeWill is a fast-paced, venture-backed startup. Ideal candidates should:
- Have 2+ years of experience working on a SaaS customer success team, managing clients, handling negotiations, or in the nonprofit fundraising space.
- Possess superior written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and comfort working within CRM and sales tools.
- Show intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn and take on diverse projects.
- Balance autonomous decision-making with team collaboration.
- Comfortably operate with ambiguity and navigate nuances.

Hiring Process
