About the Role

Scorpion is looking for a proactive, client-focused Account Manager to support a growing segment of legal clients generated through our partnership with Clio. This is a unique opportunity to help build a new client engagement function from the ground up.

You’ll work directly with Scorpion hosting clients who use Clio as their primary case-management platform, helping them activate and get value from the Scorpion–Clio integration, increasing engagement, and identifying opportunities to expand their relationship with Scorpion over time.

Because this is a developing function, you won’t simply step into an established playbook. You’ll help create it. From developing outreach strategies and call scripts to testing new approaches and identifying what drives client engagement, you’ll have the opportunity to influence how Scorpion supports and grows this client segment.

This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with clients, is comfortable with proactive outreach, has an interest in sales and growth, and is energized by building new processes and finding better ways to engage customers.

What Your Success Will Look Like

  • Drive Client Activation and Adoption: Engage newly launched clients to ensure they successfully activate and utilize the Scorpion–Clio integration, identifying and addressing barriers to adoption.
  • Increase Client Engagement: Develop proactive outreach strategies that encourage clients to engage with Scorpion and take advantage of the resources and capabilities available to them.
  • Conduct Proactive Client Outreach: Connect with clients through phone, email, and other outreach methods. This may include cold or re-engagement outreach to clients who have had limited interaction with Scorpion.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Use client conversations and available integration data to identify needs and potential opportunities for clients to expand their relationship with Scorpion.
  • Use Data to Inform Outreach: Review available integration and client data to understand engagement, identify trends or opportunities, and prioritize client outreach.
  • Build the Playbook: Help develop and continuously improve call scripts, email messaging, outreach cadences, engagement strategies, and workflows for this growing client segment.
  • Test and Learn: Experiment with different approaches to client engagement, evaluate what works, and use those insights to improve the team’s strategy and processes.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal teams supporting the Clio partnership, client experience, sales, and other areas of Scorpion to help create a seamless client experience.
  • Support the Clio Partnership: As the role develops, there may be opportunities to participate in partnership discussions and quarterly business reviews with Clio and contribute insights about client engagement, adoption, and growth opportunities.

Who You Are and What You Bring

  • Education
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role such as customer success, sales, business development, account coordination, or a related function.
    • Experience conducting proactive client outreach by phone and email.
    • Experience working cross-functionally with multiple teams or stakeholders.
    • Experience in the legal industry, SaaS, digital marketing, or technology integrations is a plus but not required.
  • Skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong relationship-building skills and an interest in client engagement, customer growth, and sales.
    • Ability to use data and client insights to identify trends, priorities, and growth opportunities.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to test new approaches and refine strategies based on results.
    • Ability to work independently and create structure in a developing function with limited established processes.
    • Strong organizational skills and follow-through when managing outreach across a large client population.
    • Adaptability and comfort working in an evolving environment where processes and priorities may change.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
    • Eagerness to learn new platforms, tools, and technologies.
  • Travel
    • The role requires 10% travel within the United States and Canada.
