The Account Executive, PartStore is responsible for acquiring and activating new sellers on the PartStore marketplace. This is a hands-on commercial role focused on identifying qualified inventory-holding aviation suppliers, communicating the value of PartStore, converting customers to the platform, and ensuring those customers successfully activate by uploading inventory.

The AE owns the customer relationship from initial outreach through activation. Success is measured not by a verbal commitment or signup alone, but by converting qualified prospects into active PartStore sellers with inventory available to buyers.

Primary Responsibilities

Seller Acquisition & Conversion

  • Prospect into existing PartsBase customers and other qualified inventory-holding aviation suppliers.
  • Conduct outbound outreach, discovery conversations, PartStore demonstrations, and structured follow-up.
  • Clearly communicate the PartStore value proposition and how it complements a seller's existing sales channels.
  • Manage opportunities from initial engagement through enrollment and activation.
  • Maintain sufficient pipeline coverage to support monthly production expectations.
  • Achieve established monthly qualifying-deal targets.

Seller Activation

  • Maintain ownership of the customer relationship through successful inventory upload.
  • Coordinate seller enrollment, payment-account setup, inventory requirements, and onboarding activities.
  • Work with internal support resources to resolve barriers that delay activation.
  • Ensure converted sellers understand the requirements and next steps needed to become active on PartStore.
  • Escalate recurring onboarding or product friction to the Director with clear customer examples.

Pipeline & CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and current opportunity records in the CRM.
  • Document customer interactions, next steps, conversion status, and reasons for delays or losses.
  • Provide accurate weekly production, pipeline, and forecast updates.
  • Track conversion rates and sales-cycle progression to identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up and clear ownership of every active opportunity.

Market Feedback & Team Contribution

  • Capture recurring customer objections, competitive feedback, and barriers to PartStore adoption.
  • Provide structured market feedback to the Director to help prioritize product and process improvements.
  • Participate in sales training, call reviews, and PartStore enablement.
  • Share effective messaging, objection handling, and conversion practices with other team members.
  • Work collaboratively with Support, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Operations to improve seller activation and time-to-value.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to sell, develop customer relationships, or manage commercial accounts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable conducting outbound prospecting, discovery conversations, and product demonstrations.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities through a structured sales process.
  • Strong follow-up, organizational, and CRM discipline.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into a clear business value proposition.
  • Aviation, aerospace, aftermarket, e-commerce, or B2B marketplace experience is preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable working in a developing business where processes and responsibilities will continue to evolve.
