CoLab Software is the world’s first Design Engagement System (DES) created specifically for mechanical engineering teams. Founded by engineers who previously worked at Tesla and ExxonMobil, they realized that while the physical products being built were highly advanced, the tools used to review and approve those designs were stuck in the past. CoLab acts as a centralized, cloud-based hub where engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders can securely share, view, and markup massive 3D CAD models and 2D drawings directly in their web browser. Recently, they have heavily integrated AI agents ('AutoReview') that automatically scan designs against company standards to flag errors before human review even begins.
