Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated, charismatic Virtual Learning Coach to join our core centralized academic instruction team in a full-time remote capacity within the United States. In this highly engaging entry-level student coaching seat, you will step up to claim individual operational accountability for leading live academic blocks, keeping student-athletes locked in on their coursework, and fostering real digital connections over video. Shifting completely away from legacy lecture-based teaching or mechanical homework grading, you will serve as an on-camera motivator running “Academic Launches”—short, high-energy live games, challenges, and icebreakers hosted over webcam to set a focused, ambitious tone. This role requires an outgoing individual who is naturally exceptional with young people, comfortable being on video for long stretches, and capable of holding an uncompromising completion standard while remaining warm and supportive.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Academic Launch Governance: Host and facilitate short, engaging live icebreakers, challenges, and group games over a webcam to open study blocks, set an ambitious tone, and ignite student motivation.
• On-Camera Study Block Leadership: Maintain a consistent, high-energy video presence throughout academic sessions natively utilizing Online Tutor parameters to keep distributed groups focused on coursework.
• Deep Student Relationship Curation: Get to know each student-athlete personally, identifying individual motivators, personal athletic goals, and specific academic roadblocks to maintain day-to-day engagement.
• Coursework Momentum and Motivation: Motivate students to hit daily targets, celebrating individual completion milestones and holding the line on academic standards without creating friction natively leveraging Coding Mentor mentorship principles.
• Daily Progress and Bottleneck Auditing: Monitor active individual learning screens, identifying where student-athletes are accelerating or getting stuck, and tracking daily completion data.
• Asynchronous Support Team Communication: Formulate and submit quick daily summary updates to core coordinators regarding block performance, highlighting target students who require secondary intervention.
• Platform Tech Setup Compliance: Maintain an uncompromised remote home-office setup, combining a quiet distraction-free room with a high-definition webcam, working laptop, and stable broadband connectivity.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven history successfully connecting with and motivating young people within camp counseling, youth sports coaching, peer tutoring, student residency, or structured extracurricular spaces.
• Deep, authoritative comfort operating live in front of a video lens, showing an uncompromised ability to hold a group’s attention and drive high energy over webcams without feeling forced.
• Expert-tier capability managing youth group dynamics, holding structural standards with warmth, and converting abstract icebreakers into highly interactive, collaborative sessions natively using Online Tutor best practices.
• Practical experience navigating basic video streaming platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet), showing a tech-comfortable capacity to pick up new digital interfaces and troubleshoot screen errors on the fly natively leveraging Coding Mentor tools.
• Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an absolute capacity to express empathy, deliver actionable encouragement, and inspire competitive student-athletes.
• Mandatory Video Screening Requirement: Absolute readiness to record and upload short video responses addressing two foundational background and personality questions directly within the application portal; applications lacking video files will not be reviewed.
• Location Context: Position open exclusively to qualified candidates based permanently and resident within the **United States** to execute online instructional sessions under a 100% remote work arrangement.
