Pearmill is a performance marketing agency specializing in paid ads across Meta, Google, TikTok, and other channels. Their creative team produces video and static assets for these campaigns.

The agency is fully remote, with a team spread across the US and Europe, and leverages AI tools throughout their workflow.

About the Role

Pearmill is seeking a video editor to work as a full-time contractor for a client in a regulated industry. The role involves editing paid ads and organic social content, with each asset requiring approved disclosure copy that must match exactly.

The primary focus is on precision work: cutting and versioning existing footage, ensuring all on-screen elements are approved, and maintaining accuracy at scale. The ideal candidate is analytical, capable of QA-ing their own work, and skilled at building QA systems and templates to manage high-volume projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Produce multiple variations of each video concept, often at high volume.

  • Resize every paid video into all required formats (currently five) and adjust framing accordingly.

  • Create organic social videos, including Reels and video Stories, from approved templates.

  • Add and update on-screen elements, including required disclosure copy, across every version.

  • Collaborate with the creative lead to plan weekly priorities based on briefs.

  • Amend assets based on internal and client feedback until full approval is achieved.

  • Maintain a consistently high level of quality in every delivery.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional video editing and motion experience, with a portfolio or reel.

  • Expertise in After Effects, proficiency in Premiere Pro, and the ability to integrate AI tools into the workflow.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly for visually QA-ing text elements on screen.

  • Ability to manage many near-identical versions, differing only by text, without errors.

  • Clear, proactive communication to handle multiple rounds of revisions.

  • Project files must adhere to team standards, including clear folder structures, descriptive naming, live text layers, and no unused footage or third-party plugins.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and comfortable participating in video calls.

  • Based in Europe, Latin America, or Canada, with working hours overlapping the US East Coast.

  • Consistent ability to meet deadlines, even during high-volume periods.

Strongly Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience editing ads in a regulated industry, including handling required disclosures.

  • Experience navigating legal and regulatory review rounds.

  • Experience building reusable templates for social graphics, motion graphics, or video editing.

How We Work

  • Daily collaboration with the producer and creative lead, with ongoing support from a motion designer.

  • Typical turnaround time for batches is 2 to 3 days, with some client changes requiring same-day adjustments.

  • Briefs, approved copy, and feedback are managed through Notion and Slack, with files stored in Dropbox following a set naming convention.

  • Participation in weekly creative calls and short check-ins during high-volume periods.

  • Every delivery is checked against approved copy before client submission.

  • Open sharing of workflows and AI experiments within the team, with encouragement to contribute ideas for efficiency and safety improvements.

How to Apply

  1. Share your portfolio or reel through the application form, highlighting regulated or versioning-heavy work.

  2. Shortlisted candidates will complete a short paid test.
