The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a strategic finance leader with expertise in a global, private equity-backed software business. The ideal candidate has a strong background in scaling financial operations, delivering insightful reporting, and driving performance metrics. They excel in financial modeling, forecasting, and are adept at partnering with executive leadership and key stakeholders to support strategic growth initiatives.
The Role
Entersekt is looking for a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO, executive leadership, and other key sponsors. This individual will lead the FP&A function, driving financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth and value creation. They will focus on improving visibility through enhanced reporting and building a data-driven organization. The VP: FP&A will oversee financial models, budgets, and performance metrics, playing a critical role in capital allocation, strategic planning, and M&A.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global FP&A function, providing strategic financial guidance across regions and business units.
- Develop and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support decision-making and growth.
- Provide in-depth financial analysis, scenario planning, and performance monitoring to senior leadership.
- Partner with the CFO and executive team on strategic initiatives, M&A activities, and capital planning.
- Collaborate with private equity ownership, delivering insights on financial performance and investment opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting, and analytics, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee the preparation of management reports, board presentations, and investor communications.
- Manage and mentor the FP&A team, fostering a high-performance culture and developing finance talent.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
- 10+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role driving strategic financial initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience in high-growth, global software or payments companies, with B2B SaaS and payments experience being a strong advantage.
- Strong background working with private equity-backed organizations, with hands-on experience in engaging directly with ownership.
- Expertise in advanced financial modeling, long-term forecasting, and strategic budgeting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience delivering critical insights to board-level stakeholders and private equity investors.
- Experience managing remote, high-performance teams, with a track record of developing talent within the finance function.
