Kickstarter is the leading crowdfunding platform for creative projects across film, games, music, art, design, and technology. Since its founding in 2009, Kickstarter’s mission to help bring creative projects to life has been powered by the people behind the work.

As a Temporary Executive Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the CEO and other leaders in the executive team. You’ll provide support in meetings, conduct research for projects, manage schedules, and help optimize workflows. You’ll also coordinate travel logistics, triage meeting requests, and submit expense reports as needed. As a trusted resource for important information and company-wide alignment, you’ll help the executive team draft and distribute internal communications.

This is a temporary, full-time position expected to run from roughly mid-November 2026 through the end of March 2027 and is not eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take over management of the CEO’s active calendar, with additional calendar support assigned as bandwidth permits.
  • Provide calendar and administrative support to additional executives for specific events, meetings, and communications.
  • Work closely with the team by anticipating needs, proactively identifying solutions, and implementing process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and optimize calendar management and administrative processes.
  • Organize and facilitate assigned meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, and taking and distributing meeting notes.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports for multiple executives (ad hoc).
  • Handle ad hoc responsibilities, including organizing events and offsites, coordinating travel, processing invoices, and supporting occasional work outside of regular business hours.
  • Provide recruiting support as requested by the People team, including coordinating interviews and calendars across candidates and interview panels and tracking candidate communications.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience supporting a CEO and triaging multiple executives’ calendars and administrative needs, all while maintaining the utmost level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Experience working proactively and autonomously in a dynamic, fluctuating environment, comfortable pivoting and responding quickly as an executive’s priorities or needs change.
  • Constantly thinking of ways to optimize workflow.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culturally-savvy, internet-savvy, and tech-savvy with strong vocabulary and name retention.
  • Detail-oriented with confident verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with creative people and willingness to experiment with new approaches.

Kickstarter (operating at kickstarter.com) is a global crowdfunding platform engineered for creative entrepreneurship. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York City, Kickstarter revolutionizes how independent creators and artists secure funding for their projects by eliminating traditional barriers to capital. Unlike conventional venture funding or bank loans, Kickstarter operates on a public-benefit model, enabling creators to validate demand and build communities around their work before production begins. Under the hood, the platform leverages a reward-based crowdfunding mechanism, where backers pledge financial support in exchange for early access, exclusive merchandise, or acknowledgment. This allows artists, filmmakers, designers, and musicians to bypass gatekeepers, tap into niche audiences, and launch projects with real-world validation. Backed by historically $10 million in funding, Kickstarter has become the leading ecosystem for creative projects spanning film, music, art, games, and beyond, fostering innovation while maintaining a transparent, mission-driven ethos.
