Their team is passionate about innovation and committed to building the next generation of industry leaders.

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Technical Project Manager to join their dynamic Cloud Professional Services team. This role reports to the Engineering Lead and involves overseeing the successful delivery of complex software and cloud projects, including large-scale consumer mobile applications, custom map locators, data analytics, engineering, and AI/ML solutions. Responsibilities include managing the full customer engagement lifecycle—from project kickoff to go-live and ongoing support—using Agile methodologies to manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors, stakeholders, and project budgets.

Note: Woolpert does not offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have work authorization in the country where the job is located.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with business and customer stakeholders to define clear product objectives and technical requirements.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of professional services projects, including reviewing statements of work for feedback on resourcing, schedules, and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain project management frameworks such as Waterfall, Scrum, or Kanban, interfacing with existing client tools.
  • Develop and distribute project management deliverables like implementation plans, project schedules, budget variances, and risk assessments.
  • Plan and facilitate daily stand-ups, weekly status meetings, and Scrum ceremonies to ensure continuous stakeholder communication.
  • Closely manage project budgets and resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with internal team leaders, phase managers, and external subcontractors to resolve project issues impacting quality or client goals.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for additional services, including new statements of work, change requests, and support agreements.
  • Successfully manage multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality across all workstreams.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a Technical Program or Project Management role, preferably within a professional services or cloud technology environment.
  • Deep understanding of managing projects using Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) in a fast-paced, often remote environment.
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience managing large projects and budgets. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to bridge the gap between technical staff and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with collaboration and task management tools such as Jira, Slack, Monday.com, and Google Workspace.
  • BS Degree in Project Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMI-PMP) or a Scrum Master Certification.
  • Prior experience in a software engineering role or other related technical discipline.
  • Experience leading projects involving major public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Technical savvy with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and the ability to read or write code in languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving technical issues while evaluating product performance metrics.
