As a Technical Lead at Nearform, you will lead and guide development teams while collaborating directly with clients to translate business and technical requirements into impactful applications. This role involves:
- Providing technical and line-management leadership to your development team.
- Ensuring the successful delivery of projects and identifying blockers before they escalate.
- Upholding best practices in software development, DevOps, and agile methodologies.
- Working with clients to translate requirements into technical briefs and shaping architectural decisions for scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Providing updates to clients and Nearform leadership to ensure clear communication and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams through technical delivery.
- Work directly with clients to understand technical requirements.
- Have a deep understanding of agile methodologies, design patterns, and test-driven development.
- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git), DevOps practices, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Consider operational concerns such as monitoring, performance testing, security, accessibility, and GDPR.
- Possess empathy and strong people skills.
- Ideally, have experience in the financial services industry.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Significant experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead, ideally with Golang. Experience with JavaScript or Python is desirable.
- Proven track record of leading software engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of agile practices, design patterns, and testing best practices.
- Experience with version control (Git), DevOps, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Empathy and strong communication skills for effective team and client collaboration.
