Your Impact at MyEdSpace

We’re looking for a Tech Lead who excels in building products and systems—whether in backend, frontend, or full-stack development. You’ll guide technical decisions, navigate trade-offs, and support engineers in delivering high-quality work.

The role includes three key areas:

• Technical leadership — coding, pair programming, peer reviews, and driving software and architecture design.
• People management — running 1:1s, supporting career progression, and fostering a strong feedback loop.
• Product collaboration — working closely with product and design to shape scope, prioritize effectively, and align on outcomes.

You’ll help build both the system and the team that will take MyEdSpace to the next stage, with real influence over how we scale, structure, and evolve our technology.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of engineers, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and collaborative culture.
• Set the bar for technical excellence, promoting best practices in architecture, CI/CD, testing, and code quality.
• Drive a DevOps mindset — engineers own their builds from design to deployment and beyond.
• Architect and deliver scalable, maintainable systems and features with measurable impact on learners.
• Collaborate with AI specialists to integrate adaptive, personalized learning into our platform.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and data to shape the roadmap, scope work, and align on outcomes.
• Continuously improve software delivery speed, reliability, team workflows, and technical decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Senior engineering experience in product-led, fast-paced environments, ideally with team leadership or large project experience.
• Strong software architecture skills — API-first, modular design, async communications, and scaling patterns.
• AI-first mindset: LLMs and agentic tools are part of your daily workflow, not an experiment.
• Experience across the stack, with deep backend expertise and comfort navigating modern frontend frameworks (React.js preferred).
• Fluency in Agile and Lean methodologies, focusing on shipping value in small increments.
• Comfortable working in Docker-based, cloud-native environments (AWS).
• A track record of shipping user-facing products that are performant, elegant, and thoughtfully engineered.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, comfortable working across disciplines and time zones.
