KOHO is on a mission to make financial services better for every Canadian, focusing on transparency, no hidden fees, and empowering users to build wealth. They operate with a remote-first, high-trust culture, prioritizing work-life integration and asynchronous collaboration.

About the Role

KOHO is building an AI-native bank and evolving its People & Culture function into People Enablement, focusing on performance, clarity, and removing friction to help employees excel in their careers. Talent Development is the capability layer of this model, ensuring employees have the context to perform, leaders can have hard conversations, and support is provided to overcome performance obstacles.

They are seeking a highly motivated Talent Development Partner & Performance Coach to wear two hats: Performance Coaching and Talent Development. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, wants real ownership of programs, and is excited to drive a high-performance culture.

What You'll Do

You'll wear two hats: Performance Coaching and Talent Development.

Performance Coaching

  • Provide 1:1 coaching via video conference to a roster of 10–20 employees across various departments and seniority levels, from management to entry-level engineers and user success agents.
  • Coach on topics like leadership skills, career pathing, giving and receiving feedback, self-awareness, energy management, interpersonal challenges, and mindsets/behaviors impacting performance.
  • Co-create goals and plans for each client, recommend resources and coaching frequency based on their needs, and track progress.
  • Run triad coaching engagements between coach, manager, and coachee to align on performance and development plans.
  • Deliver team coaching workshops for standing teams and project/cross-functional teams.

Talent Development

  • Design, deliver, and measure programs that scale impact across the company, including:
  • Leadership Labs: Foundations (for people managers) and Leadership Labs: Advanced (for Directors and Senior Directors), facilitating live sessions, building async content, running peer groups, and owning modules end-to-end.
  • Support Onboarding to ensure new hires arrive with the context to perform early.
  • Build ad hoc learning programs and materials for teams as needs arise.
  • Use adult learning principles to assess needs and design, deliver, and measure learning experiences on topics like performance conversations, feedback, change management, career development, and AI enablement.

Across Both Hats

  • Use AI in your work for content design, research, synthesis, and analysis, and help build AI fluency across KOHO.
  • Measure program impact honestly, not just attendance, and report on changes.
  • Bring trends and recommendations to your manager for future program development.

Who You Are

  • You've completed an ICF-recognized coach training program and are working towards an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation.
  • You've coached diverse clients with varying motivations, thinking styles, professional challenges, and cultural backgrounds, maintaining high ethical standards and confidentiality.
  • You build high-trust relationships quickly and are direct, thriving in a culture of extreme honesty and no performance surprises.
  • You've built and delivered leadership development programs and can create custom content for teams or large groups at short notice.
  • You're a strong facilitator, comfortable with public speaking and holding cross-functional rooms, both remote and in-person.
  • You work from a problem, not a brief, and are comfortable shipping work without waiting for a mandate.
  • You're fluent with AI tools in your work and can teach others to use them.
  • You're comfortable with data and can articulate what to measure to know if a program worked, being honest about what the numbers prove.
  • You've worked with a Learning Management System (Sana).
  • You embody KOHO's core values: warmth, dynamism, craft, user-first, anti-cynicism, and anti-complacency.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with software development or engineering audiences.
  • Team or relationship coaching credentials or a team effectiveness model like the Five Behaviors.
  • Experience in a regulated environment or working with SMEs on compliance content.
