This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point with strong product-market fit, world-class investor support, and rapid scaling.

Role Overview

As a Strategy Associate on Harvey's Transformation Office, you’ll be the analytical and content engine behind AI adoption strategies for the world’s most sophisticated legal and professional services organizations. Reporting to the Transformation Strategy Partner, you’ll convert raw inputs—usage data, client context, and engagement learnings—into repeatable, scalable, and measurable playbooks, frameworks, analyses, and executive-ready materials.

This is a high-ownership, high-leverage role in a function still being built. You’ll work across the full arc of transformation: sizing Harvey’s impact, scaling methodologies, and supporting strategic engagements. You’ll collaborate closely with Legal Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success, gaining direct exposure to senior partners, General Counsel, and Harvey leadership. Strong performers will grow into owning their own engagements.

Travel: up to 25% of the time.

What You'll Do

Turn data into insight. Pull, structure, and analyze adoption and usage data across accounts to identify drivers of transformation. Build models, dashboards, and impact analyses to clarify what’s working, where gaps exist, and where Harvey can create the most value.

Build playbooks and frameworks that scale. Codify successful individual engagements into reusable playbooks, templates, and methodologies. Your goal is to create an operating system for the Transformation Office, ensuring every engagement is faster, sharper, and more repeatable.

Capture best practices from strategic transformation engagements. Synthesize lessons learned into repeatable materials, stakeholder maps, workflow analyses, and tracking to keep engagements on track. Work closely with live client projects, own discrete workstreams, and take on more end-to-end responsibility as you grow.

Build executive-ready communications. Translate complex analyses into crisp narratives, decks, and one-pagers for senior partners, General Counsel, and internal leadership. Maintain a high bar for both rigor and polish, simplifying complex information.

Drive cross-functional coordination. Act as a connective tissue across Legal Engineering, GTM, and Customer Success, ensuring inputs are aligned, teams are coordinated, and work stays on track. Proactively surface risks and keep projects moving forward.

Synthesize learnings and feed thought leadership. Identify patterns across engagements and turn them into internal knowledge and external thought leadership, sharpening how the market and Harvey view AI transformation.

Travel required: up to 25% of the time.

What You Have

  • 2–3 years at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (MBB — McKinsey, BCG, Bain — or equivalent), where you owned analytically rigorous workstreams on real, complex client problems.
  • Exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills. Comfortable in Excel/Sheets, capable of structuring messy data into clear insights, and building analyses leaders trust. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker, Tableau) or SQL is a plus.
  • A track record of building playbooks, frameworks, or repeatable methodologies — not just polished one-off deliverables.
  • Exposure to transformation, change management, and strategy work, ideally in or adjacent to legal, financial services, or professional services.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication. Ability to make complex things simple, write with precision, and hold your own with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and a bias to action. Thrives where the playbook is still being written and prefers shipping and iterating over waiting for perfect information.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and its impact on the future of professional work. No need to be a technologist, but a deep care for the problem is essential.
