We are seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to lead the financial analysis that powers our most critical strategic decisions. You will analyze the business through the lens of an investor, owning our fully integrated 3-statement Long Range Plan, shaping capital allocation, and driving financial modeling for strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, you will partner across the business in a highly visible role. The ideal candidate is a top-tier modeler who can move seamlessly between detail and strategy, and serve as a true thought partner to senior leadership.
What you will do:
- Build and own the company’s strategic financial model
- Own our fully integrated 3-statement Long Range Plan, aligning capital allocation and growth assumptions with the company’s long-term vision.
- Build valuation frameworks, sensitivities, and investor-grade outputs.
- Scale and digitize the modeling infrastructure to reduce manual modeling and increase clarity.
- Analyze the business like an investor
- Serve as a key support lead for future fundraising efforts and potential M&A including modeling, valuation, and diligence.
- Benchmark peers and build competitor profiles, KPI benchmarks, and market analyses.
- Develop a POV on unit economics, efficiency, scale, and profitability.
- Partner across the Company
- Work directly with the CFO and Executive Leadership Team on forward-looking financial questions.
- Work with cross functional leaders on scenario modeling and business case development, connecting financial discipline to operational outcomes.
- Work with the FP&A team to ensure near-term forecasts are aligned with long-term forecasting.
- Lead cash flow and liquidity modeling
- Build rolling cash forecasts, modeling drug-related payment timing.
- Identify liquidity risks and opportunities, and shape capital allocation decisions.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, or similar environments.
- Experience analyzing healthcare or health tech companies.
- Best-in-class Excel modeler including integrated 3-statement models, valuations, sensitivities, scenario analyses, and unit economics.
- Exceptionally strong analytical skills and capable of tackling diverse, unstructured business problems.
- Ability to translate data and analysis into clear narratives for executives, and comfort presenting to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- High level of ownership, curiosity, and urgency, with the ability to operate independently and navigate ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree required
