About Paddle: Paddle offers digital product and software enterprises a completely modern approach to international payment infrastructure. Operating as an all-in-one Merchant of Record (MoR) for our customers, we eliminate 100% of the friction associated with global payment fragmentation, billing compliance, sales tax liabilities, and localized merchant accounts. Backed by premier investment institutions including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North, Paddle serves over 6,000 software sellers across 245 countries and territories globally, unifying payments, subscription management, and financial compliance inside a single performant operating layer.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly autonomous, commercially sharp, and cross-functional Staff Insights Analyst to join our centralized Product & Engineering team as a senior individual contributor (IC) under a permanent, full-time remote layout open across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Portugal. In this high-leverage strategic seat, you will sit at the absolute center of Paddle’s executive decision-making loop—transforming disparate database tables into clear commercial and macroeconomic recommendations that dictate platform expansion trajectories. Shifting completely away from routine standalone text copywriting loop runs, manual office data entry transcription, or standard entry-level frontend theme styling, you will lead an active financial modeling, data warehousing diagnostics, and automated LLM text analytics laboratory—partnering face-to-face with product managers, revenue operations, financial analysts, and the executive leadership team. This position requires an analytics authority who maps business problems fluidly natively using Data Analyst and strategy methodologies, executes complex data joins against large sets inside Snowflake data lakes, builds finance-literate business cases tracking margins and revenue growth, and applies robust statistical frameworks to drive high-level value realization.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Insight Project Governance: Formulate, scope, and deliver cross-functional data intelligence projects from abstract framing questions into bulletproof commercial recommendations natively utilizing Data Analyst tools.
- Snowflake Database Manipulation: Author, debug, and optimize complex, multi-layered queries to extract and manipulate large-scale datasets from Snowflake data warehouses using SQL.
- Cross-Functional Strategic Alignment: Partner directly across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Finance cells to track corporate performance indicators and run structural data discovery.
- Financial Impact Modeling: Collaborate alongside corporate Finance cells to model the margin and revenue impact of potential strategies, translating trade-offs into well-evidenced business proposals.
- Statistical & LLM Interpretation: Apply advanced statistical methods to draw defensible analytical conclusions, leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) within real data workflows to process unstructured merchant files.
- Executive Narrative & Advisory: Package intricate technical and commercial insights into clear, scannable data-driven narratives, presenting recommendations directly to senior stakeholders and the executive team.
- Operating Cadence Stress-Testing: Act as a trusted thought partner to business vertical heads, helping them frame cross-departmental bottlenecks and stress-test core growth assumptions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 5-7+ years of proven, successful professional history operating inside a Senior Data Analyst, Strategic Insights Principal, Revenue Operations Specialist, or closely matching tech-stack analytics capacity within a high-growth tech environment.
- Expert Database Querying Fluency: Master-level production command writing complex, performant SQL queries and managing data parameters across distributed arrays.
- Grounded mastery applying statistical methods and data science models to validate business hypotheses and eliminate reporting drift.
- Proven baseline experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative automation scripts directly into actual data transformation and unstructured analysis workflows.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation communication strengths in English, with an established capability to transform complex telemetry charts into clear business stories for a finance-literate executive suite.
- Location Context: Position operates under remote guidelines open exclusively to qualified analytical strategists residing permanently within the United Kingdom, Ireland, or Portugal.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience or structural data domain familiarity operating directly within the Fintech, digital payments, Merchant of Record (MoR), or financial services sectors.
- Professional background rooted in management consulting, corporate strategy, or entrepreneurial B2B SaaS analytics modeling (scaling around $20M to $100M+ ARR boundaries).
- Familiarity with data pipeline tooling or visualization architectures such as Tableau, Looker, dbt, or basic data manipulation scripts inside Python.
What We Offer
- Top-Tier European Digital Infrastructure Package: A highly competitive annual base salary calibrated precisely to your data systems and insights history, supplemented by global reward channels, corporate perks, and a flexible remote workspace blueprint.
- 100% workspace infrastructure independence from your home office setup based anywhere inside the UK, Ireland, or Portugal, avoiding the pain of corporate commutes.
- Direct Corporate Strategy Impact: Elite professional credentials gained by directly shaping the commercial roadmap for a payments network trusted by thousands of global software merchants.
- Comprehensive health care preservation benefits, wellness allowances, and specialized support configurations designed to remove invisible barriers.
- Access to robust continuous training models, structured industry learning pathways, and rapid internal merit-based advancement tracks within a transparent, highly collaborative culture that lives by the values of Simple, Together, and For Others.

Paddle
View Company ProfilePaddle is the premier, enterprise-grade Merchant of Record (MoR) and global digital billing orchestration powerhouse engineered to operate as the definitive, unified payments, tax, and compliance infrastructure layer for B2B and B2C SaaS corporations. The company eliminates the compounding systemic friction of scaling international software sales—which typically forces engineering teams to build fragile, multi-vendor billing stacks compromised by fragmented payment gateways, localized sales tax (VAT/GST) liabilities, multi-currency pricing compliance, and disconnected subscription management logic—by deploying a comprehensive, full-stack revenue delivery platform. Moving far beyond rigid, isolated payment gateways or simple API-wrapper billing paradigms, Paddle acts as the legal merchant of record, dynamically assuming full liability for international sales tax calculation, global financial compliance reporting, fraud prevention, and chargeback management with elite, scalable, and audit-ready precision. Under the hood, their sophisticated proprietary operational engine—bolstered by automated banking infrastructure rails, real-time localized checkout telemetry, and deep domain expertise across global jurisdictions—natively manages high-velocity cross-border transaction clearings, persistent subscription retention workflows, and centralized revenue analytics. What sets Paddle apart is its uncompromising dedication to frictionless operational abstraction; by bridging the gap between performance-intensive global regulatory demands and accessible, high-velocity developer APIs, the firm empowers modern software companies to radically accelerate their global market expansion velocity, eliminate systemic financial engineering bottlenecks, and build an unassailable foundation for continuous commercial growth in the modern, AI-transformed macroeconomic landscape.
