Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior SQL Engineer to join our core centralized engineering and leadership division on a full-time, contract-to-hire (6-month evaluation track) basis out of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Operating precisely inside a hybrid-flexible workspace framework, you will step up to claim individual strategic operational accountability for managing, defining, and optimizing our comprehensive relational database environments, Microsoft SQL Server nodes, and complex report generation architectures. Shifting completely away from routine script patch modifications or manual data entry loops, you will act as a principal T-SQL architect translating intricate business requirements into scalable relational structures. This position requires an enterprise engineering veteran with 4–5+ years of heavy SQL background who models complex queries fluidly, builds automated data transformation scripts smoothly natively using T-SQL commands, and adheres to strict shift requirements from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST to maintain absolute synchronization with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Level T-SQL Database Governance: Design, write, and maintain intricate production-grade T-SQL queries, high-performance stored procedures, database triggers, views, and custom user-defined functions natively utilizing SQL relational principles.
• Complex Data Transformation and ETL Curation: Execute multi-stage data cleansing, structural validation, and data enrichment tasks, compiling and scheduling automated scripts for background data migrations and warehousing.
• Enterprise Business Intelligence Reporting: Build, optimize, and maintain advanced corporate intelligence reports and data matrices natively leveraging Data Scientist reporting tools (specifically covering Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Tableau platforms).
• Relational Performance Tuning and Hardening: Monitor, audit, and tune query performance schemas, writing modular indexing adjustments and minimizing execution latencies under heavy concurrent transaction blocks.
• Agile Team Integration and Peer Triage: Participate actively within structured sprint planning sessions, asynchronous peer code reviews, pair programming exercises, and automated unit testing cycles.
• Root Cause Analysis and Data Hygiene: Investigate complex data discrepancies, perform rigorous root-cause analyses on structural anomalies, and maintain comprehensive documentation repositories and corporate data dictionaries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4 to 5+ years of verified professional history running advanced Microsoft SQL Server development, relational database engineering, corporate data warehousing strategy, transaction script optimization, or tech-sector data consulting.
• Deep, authoritative technical command of Transact-SQL (T-SQL) syntax, database normalization theory, multi-table JOIN strategies, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and complex analytic window functions.
• Expert-tier capability writing scalable backend logic, engineering automated data movement tracks, and optimizing index maps natively utilizing SQL database parameters.
• Practical operational familiarity constructing metric dashboards, migrating data visualizations, and translating functional schemas natively using Data Scientist analytics suites.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating alongside formal QA teams, writing functional unit tests, and driving documentation metrics across structured Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
