The Role
We are seeking an experienced Spanish-Speaking Sales Development Representative (SDR) based in South America to support outbound sales campaigns within the financial services and investment sector. This is not an entry-level SDR role; we are looking for a confident salesperson with expertise in financial products and the ability to conduct credible, professional conversations with prospects in this market.
The role involves engaging prospective customers through proactive outbound outreach, conducting consultative discovery conversations, qualifying commercial opportunities, and building relationships with relevant decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
- Engage Spanish-speaking prospects and conduct professional discovery and qualification conversations.
- Identify customer needs, challenges, commercial priorities, and potential buying intent.
- Communicate financial and investment-related propositions confidently and professionally.
- Prospect and engage relevant business and financial decision-makers.
- Generate and qualify high-quality sales opportunities for the wider sales team.
- Navigate objections and complex sales conversations using a consultative approach.
- Consistently follow up with prospects throughout the sales cycle.
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and opportunity data within CRM and sales engagement platforms.
- Work toward defined activity, meeting, qualification, and pipeline KPIs.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to continuously improve messaging, targeting, and campaign performance.
Requirements
- Fluent/native-level Spanish – essential.
- Strong professional English – essential.
- Currently based in South America – essential.
- Previous financial services, financial products, or investment sales experience – essential.
- Proven experience selling products or services related to areas such as investments, asset management, wealth management, private credit, capital markets, brokerage, trading, FinTech, or related financial services.
- Previous SDR, BDR, Business Development, Inside Sales, or outbound sales experience.
- Strong cold-calling and outbound prospecting background.
- Ability to understand and confidently communicate complex financial propositions.
- Experience conducting discovery and qualifying B2B sales opportunities.
- Excellent objection-handling and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools.
- Strong commercial awareness and professional communication skills.
- Comfortable working toward ambitious sales targets and KPIs.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working remotely.
