About Quince: Founded in 2018, Quince was built to challenge the idea that nice things have to cost a lot. Our mission is simple: to make really high-quality essentials for really low prices, produced fairly and sustainably. We are a direct-to-consumer (DTC) fashion and home tech platform that completely cuts out traditional retail middlemen, leveraging just-in-time manufacturing to minimize inventory waste and maximize value for customers. Quince is disrupting the retail sector by putting AI, predictive analytics, and automated operations at the center of everything we do. Partnering with world-class manufacturers globally, we are scaling rapidly while maintaining an unyielding commitment to premium materials, ethical production, and radical price transparency.

Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious, highly strategic, and data-driven Sourcing Manager for our Intimates, Lounge, and Swimwear business lines under a permanent, full-time remote model open to top-tier apparel professionals based in Sri Lanka. In this critical regional operational role, you will act as the principal architect growing and optimizing our premium garment supplier network across Sri Lanka. Shifting completely away from administrative virtual assistance, basic document typing, or simple local inventory data entry, you will claim full ownership of factory onboarding pipelines and complex global cost engineering. This position requires a supply chain authority with 10+ years of specialized experience who builds agile manufacturing pipelines natively using Project Management strategies, performs meticulous open costing component breakdowns to drive negotiation strategies independently of vendor metrics, sources raw materials at high speeds across multi-tier networks, and accelerates development times to move high-end apparel quickly into Western consumer markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor Scouting & Rapid Onboarding: Scout, pitch, and onboard premium manufacturing partners in Sri Lanka capable of producing high-quality Intimates, Lounge, and Swim wear with hyper-efficient lead times, setting clear criteria around test-period performance and scalable capacity natively utilizing Project Management frameworks.
  • Operational Excellence & Redundancy: Lead operational compliance across active supplier bases, expanding a highly redundant regional factory pool to secure competitive product costs, rigorous quality control, and sustainable commercial terms.
  • End-to-End Material Sourcing: Manage localized material discovery to optimize product cost and construction speed, leading multi-tier negotiations stretching cleanly from Tier 1 garment factories down to Tier 2 and Tier 3 fabric mill operations.
  • Open Costing Engineering: Deploy comprehensive open costing matrices and structural templates from the brand or manufacturer side, establishing a validated data framework to negotiate pricing terms confidently without relying on vendor-supplied data alone.
  • Capacity & Launch Optimization: Supervise style-level and factory-level capacities to track lockstep with company growth, identifying lifecycle development bottlenecks to lower return rates and maximize launch success scores.
  • Cross-Border Trade Diplomacy: Act as a dedicated brand ambassador across all partner interactions, maintaining a sharp strategic command of regional sourcing landscapes and international trade benefits to maximize speed-to-market parameters for the USA, Canada, and European destination zones.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10+ years of proven professional apparel sourcing and merchandising experience specializing directly within the Intimates, Lounge, or Swimwear categories for high-end national brands based in the United States or Europe.
  • Advanced Cost Breakdown Expertise: Documented expertise managing open costing frameworks, cost engineering templates, and raw material index tracking to drive margin optimizations.
  • Deep practical familiarity with global apparel supply chains, multi-tier vendor management (T1, T2, T3 ecosystems), and global logistics pathways.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical capability with a performance-focused mindset, prioritizing process execution, detailed metric analysis, and product quality enhancement.
  • Outstanding cross-cultural interpersonal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to lead complex commercial negotiations and collaborate smoothly across distributed global corporate units.
  • Location Context: Position operates under remote geographic guidelines open to qualified apparel supply chain professionals living in Sri Lanka.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior experience operating inside an agile, venture-backed direct-to-consumer (DTC) apparel brand or data-driven retail tech environment.
  • Deep, pre-existing professional relationships with premium, compliant, and sustainable textile factories and component suppliers across the Sri Lankan garment landscape.
  • Familiarity with tracking metrics inside modern supply chain management systems, automated production analytics tools, or advanced spreadsheets.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Global Compensation Package: A premium regional salary package calibrated to match top-tier industry experts, supplemented by structured performance and career growth reviews.
  • 100% remote workspace flexibility across Sri Lanka, enabling you to manage extensive supplier networks from your optimized home office.
  • A highly collaborative, fast-paced corporate culture that serves as a destination for builders, operators, and retail innovators.
  • Direct involvement in a mission-driven business model that democratizes access to premium luxury craftsmanship through technical innovation.
  • Continuous professional development avenues, exposure to world-class automated inventory systems, and inclusion in a globally scaling enterprise.
