We are on a mission to empower people of all ages to thrive in an increasingly connected world. By uniting Aura and Qoria, organizations driven by personal experiences with identity theft and cyberbullying, our combined company brings together global category leaders to create a safer internet for everyone across all stages of life. Today, our $340M+ ARR platform protects over 9 million families and 32,000 schools across 100+ countries. Driven by a global team of over 1,000 people, we are combining intelligent digital threat protection with student and child wellbeing tools so everyone can navigate the digital world safely and with confidence.

As Aura expands, we are seeking a creative, results-driven Social Media Specialist & Content Creator to support our content and social strategy. This is a PART-TIME (approximately 30 hours per week) CONTRACT role and must be based in the US (Eastern Timezone preferred).

The ideal candidate is a socially native storyteller who understands what captures attention online, who eagerly looks for new AI tools to implement, and is excited to turn ideas, trends, and audience insights into content people want to watch and share.

What you'll do:

  • Create social-first content: Appear on camera regularly across short-form video, Stories, and other organic formats, bringing scripts and briefs to life with confident, authentic delivery. This is the core of the role.
  • Support content production: Help concept, film, and edit content alongside your on-camera work, and publish across formats including static posts and carousels.
  • Bring creative ideas to life: Turn briefs, trends, audience insights, and cultural moments into compelling content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Support Aura’s organic social channels: Help manage the day-to-day content calendar, including scheduling, publishing, quality assurance, and coordinating assets, while also pulling performance metrics for the team to analyze.
  • Spot trends and move quickly: Stay current on emerging formats, conversations, and platform behaviors, identifying opportunities for Aura to participate in timely and relevant ways.
  • Test, learn, and iterate: Experiment with hooks, formats, creative treatments, and posting strategies, then use performance insights to strengthen future content.
  • Engage with our community: Help Aura show up authentically in comments, creator conversations, and relevant online communities while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Use AI thoughtfully: Explore AI-powered tools that can accelerate ideation, production, editing, and audience research while maintaining strong creative judgment and brand standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with social, brand, design, product marketing, and paid media teams to support campaigns and broader business priorities.

What you'll bring:

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media and content creation, including internships, freelance work, or experience building your own channels.
  • Comfort on camera (required): You're confident and natural on screen, and excited to be a regular, recognizable presence across Aura’s social channels — this is the core of the role.
  • AI fluency: Experience using AI-powered tools to support content ideation, writing, editing, production, and data collection, plus the creative judgment to use them thoughtfully and responsibly.
  • A genuinely social-native perspective: You understand the culture, trends, and mechanics of platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Nice to have — production skills: Comfort filming and editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Edits, Canva, or similar. Not required (production support is available).
  • Nice to have — writing instincts: Ability to write clear, engaging hooks, captions, or scripts.
  • Curiosity and adaptability: You’re excited to explore new platforms, formats, creative approaches, and AI tools.
  • A detail-oriented mindset: You’re organized, resourceful, and comfortable moving quickly from an idea to execution.
  • A portfolio or examples of on-camera or social-first content that demonstrate strong creative instincts and an understanding of what captures attention.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

Why Aura?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company that’s making a real difference in people’s lives.
  • Work with a talented, passionate, and supportive team.
  • Real runway to pitch original ideas and drive content/social growth.
