Walrus
View Company ProfileWalrus is a premier, enterprise-grade verifiable data platform and decentralized storage network protocol engineered to deliver ultra-scalable, high-availability blob storage and persistent context memory for AI models and onchain finance. Developed by storage and distributed systems experts alongside Mysten Labs (the creators of the Sui blockchain), the protocol eliminates the operational friction and single-point-of-failure vulnerabilities of centralized cloud storage providers—which historically suffer from soaring bandwidth overhead, opaque access controls, and vendor lock-in—by deploying an erasure-coded storage architecture ("Red Stuff") that fragments, encrypts, and distributes large unstructured data files across independent node operators. Moving beyond static file archiving, Walrus empowers AI agent developers, decentralized finance platforms, and Web3 media protocols to programmatically control data access, preserve verified transaction lineage, and maintain persistent cross-session AI agent memory through Walrus Memory (MemWal) with elite, scalable, and audit-ready precision. Under the hood, its sophisticated proprietary operational infrastructure—bolstered by native Sui smart contract integration, delegated Proof-of-Stake (dPoS) node consensus, cryptographic data verification proofs, and decentralized secrets management—natively manages high-throughput binary large object (BLOB) indexing, instant file reconstruction, and verifiable state persistence, providing the necessary foundation for true data sovereignty. What sets Walrus apart is its uncompromising dedication to programmable, tamper-proof data availability; by bridging the gap between high-performance blockchain logic and distributed cloud storage, the platform enables modern decentralized applications to store terabyte-scale datasets, enforce fine-grained data access policies, and establish an unassailable benchmark for verifiable data infrastructure.
