About the Role

We’re looking for a Social Media Content Creator / Copywriter to develop and execute organic social media content for U.S. home service businesses, particularly contractors.

This role goes beyond simply creating attractive social media posts. We’re looking for someone who understands why a piece of content should exist, who it is targeting, what action or perception it should generate, and how it supports the overall business strategy.

Our team will provide the overall direction, but you’ll be responsible for turning that direction into a consistent, strategic, and engaging content plan.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop organic social media content for U.S. contractors and home service businesses.
  • Create the actual content, including copy, captions, concepts, and visual assets.
  • Translate strategic direction into engaging social media content.
  • Develop content pillars and recurring content formats based on the business and target audience.
  • Write compelling, clear, and audience-focused social media copy.
  • Create and maintain content calendars.
  • Schedule and publish content across relevant social media platforms.
  • Research the target audience, competitors, trends, and content opportunities.
  • Adapt content based on performance and learnings.
  • Explain the strategic reasoning behind the content you create.
  • Manage an ongoing content production workflow independently.
  • Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, branding, and publishing cadence.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of organic social media strategy.
  • Proven experience creating social media content from strategy through execution.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Ability to create both visual content and written content.
  • Understanding of what types of organic content work for contractors and home service businesses.
  • Ability to develop content based on a broader strategic direction.
  • Experience creating and managing content calendars.
  • Experience scheduling and publishing social media content.
  • Strong creative thinking and ability to generate new content ideas consistently.
  • Ability to explain the strategy and objective behind your content.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ongoing production.
  • Comfortable working with feedback and iterating on content.

Fluent English Required

Fluent English is a mandatory requirement for this position.

You must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and spoken, as the role is focused on creating content for the U.S. market.

Candidates without strong English communication skills will not be considered.

Nice to Have

Experience working with:

  • Contractors.
  • Roofing companies.
  • HVAC businesses.
  • Plumbing companies.
  • Electrical contractors.
  • Landscaping companies.
  • Construction companies.
  • Other U.S. home service businesses.

Experience working with U.S.-based audiences is also highly valued.

What We Care About Most

We are not looking for someone who simply knows how to make aesthetically pleasing Instagram posts.

We want someone who can think:

Who are we talking to? → What do they care about? → What should this content achieve? → Why is this the right format/message? → How does it support the business?

Our team will provide the overall direction, but we expect you to take ownership of the strategy, planning, creation, and ongoing execution.

The Ideal Candidate

You’re someone who combines strategy + creativity + execution.

You understand social media, know how to write, can create compelling content, and most importantly, can explain why the content you create should work for the business and its audience.

If you can take a direction, turn it into a thoughtful content strategy, and independently execute it consistently, we’d love to hear from you.
