Compound Growth Marketing (CGM) is a marketing consultancy dedicated to helping ambitious B2B SaaS and technology companies scale to $100M+ in revenue by building sustainable, repeatable demand generation systems. Their approach focuses on three key drivers of growth: Deal Volume, Deal Process, and Actionable Insights.
CGMâs work spans go-to-market strategy, paid acquisition, demand capture (SEO & AI-optimized content), funnel automation, and advanced analytics. They collaborate closely with clients' revenue, marketing, and operations teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
Client demand for organic and AI-search visibility (AEO/GEO) is rapidly increasing, and CGM is expanding its SEO practice to meet this demand with a standardized, scalable delivery model.
About the Role
The SEO & Content Manager will oversee SEO and AI-search-visibility (AEO/GEO) strategy for a portfolio of 6â12 B2B client accounts. This role involves leading strategy, planning, and quality control, as well as managing a small team of analysts as the practice grows.
This position is ideal for someone who:
- Is passionate about the evolution of SEO with the rise of LLMs and treats AI visibility as a core component of SEO strategy
- Views B2B SEO as a blend of technical execution and content strategy, emphasizing the importance of both technical fundamentals and content effectiveness
- Enjoys leading and developing teams, with a commitment to building a cohesive team over time
- Comfortable acting as the subject-matter expert, briefing Account Managers to ensure they can confidently discuss strategy and results
What You Do
Strategy & Planning
- Develop and maintain SEO and AEO strategy for your portfolio, translating performance data into a prioritized plan for analysts to execute, with adjustments as needed
- Maintain a forward-looking view of each account's work, planning 3â6 months ahead, not just focusing on the current sprint
- Collaborate with Project Managers to align planned work with client budgets and team capacity
- Lead content strategy for your portfolio, including defining topics, structure, and optimization guidance for analysts
Team Leadership & Ownership of Output
- Ensure the quality and accountability of your analyst teamâs output, including audits, briefs, technical recommendations, and reports
- Coach and develop analysts to build their skills and reduce the need for direct oversight over time
- Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and promotion or termination decisions for your team, in partnership with the Head of SEO
AI Search Visibility (AEO/GEO)
- Develop and implement AI-search-visibility strategy for your portfolio, monitoring client performance across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, and similar surfaces
- Help define how CGM benchmarks and measures AEO performance for clients, including selecting appropriate tools and metrics in an evolving space
- Provide evidence-based recommendations for AEO strategies, explaining changes and their impacts
- Track advancements in AI search surfaces and translate these into actionable guidance for clients and analysts
Performance & Client Communication
- Monitor performance across your portfolio and translate results into strategic recommendations
- Work closely with Account Managers to communicate with clients, stepping in as the subject-matter expert when needed
- Escalate findings and plan adjustments to practice leadership when an account requires additional oversight
Why Join CGM
- Join a practice that is actively being built and standardized, shaping the playbook rather than just executing it
- Have real input into how your team grows as CGMâs SEO/AEO practice scales
- Work with leading B2B technology and SaaS companies navigating the AI-search shift
- Enjoy a fully remote, flexible culture built on trust and outcomes

- Proven track record of directing content strategy across a multi-client book, translating buyer's-journey pain points into a prioritized content plan
- Fluency with the standard SEO tool stack, including Ahrefs or Semrush, Google Search Console, GA4, and Screaming Frog or equivalent
- Experience with AI tools like Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, Google AI Studio, AirOps, and Profound
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
