Job Description

Jacobian is an international digital health company pioneering AI-assisted medical diagnostics, combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology for precise and efficient diagnostics worldwide. With a team of around 170 employees across ten countries, global collaboration is directed from Munich, Germany, and Pittsburgh, USA.

Your Role

As a Senior Technical Project Manager on our EMEA Customer Success team, you will oversee the delivery of SmartReports implementations for hospitals and radiology practices across the region—from contract signature through go-live and into hypercare. Your role involves facilitating the technical conversation, understanding concepts like HL7 interfaces and their potential failures, and ensuring technical decisions are documented, communicated, and executed on schedule. You act as the bridge between the customer’s IT department, internal delivery teams, and partner vendors (RIS/PACS providers), ensuring alignment on scope, timeline, and risk.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of SmartReports implementations across EMEA, following a phase-gate delivery model.
  • Coordinate and document solution design, collaborating with integration architects and engineers to capture integration architecture, interface decisions, and configuration options.
  • Manage technical workstreams with hospital IT, tracking and coordinating HL7/RIS/PACS integration topics, network and security requirements, and deployment questions.
  • Manage external technology and channel partners, ensuring delivery where third-party results are dependent.
  • Qualify and escalate issues during implementation by gathering context, writing clear tickets for Engineering, and tracking them to resolution while keeping customers informed.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact throughout implementation, managing status calls, agendas, minutes, and decision logs with clear communication up to the executive level.
  • Hand over projects cleanly to operations through structured transitions to Customer Support, complete documentation, and readiness checkpoints, contributing to the internal knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Several years of project management experience delivering enterprise software or healthcare IT implementations.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM, Business Informatics, IT, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical affinity, comfortable discussing HL7 interfaces, RIS/PACS environments, and hospital IT constraints, and able to translate between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, external vendors) without formal authority.
  • Strong documentation discipline, including solution design write-ups, status reports, decision logs, and actionable tickets.
  • Excellent communication in English; German at a professional level strongly preferred for the DACH customer base.
  • Understanding of medical/radiology terminology and clinical workflows is a plus.
  • Awareness of working in a regulated environment (medical device software, GDPR) is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira-based delivery and phase-gate project models.
  • Experience with speech recognition, structured reporting, or AI-supported clinical documentation.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10-15% of the time.

Benefits

  • 30 vacation days for recovery and work-life balance.
  • Access to Wellpass for gyms and wellness facilities across Germany.
  • JobRad & JobTicket support for sustainable commuting (bicycle leasing and a EUR 17.45/month subsidy).
  • Annual training budget for professional and personal development.
  • Corporate benefits platform with discounts on travel, electronics, fashion, and more.
  • Flexible working hours and a remote work model (up to 100% within Germany).
