We’re evolving our engineering culture so every developer learns to build with modern, agentic workflows, eliminating the repetitive friction so we can solve harder, more interesting problems together. You’ll be the person building the tools, establishing the practices, and coaching our team into the next era of software engineering.

As a Senior Software Engineer reporting to the Engineering Manager, your purpose will be to help make the team AI native: half your time building the agentic workflows, tools, and guardrails we ship with, half shipping product with them yourself.

• Design how a ticket moves from idea to merged code, with agents doing almost all of the implementation
• Build our coding and review agents, MCP integrations, CI hooks, and shared skills library
• Set up review gates and evaluations so agent output meets the same quality and security bar as human work
• Own the web side of our product in Vue and represent the team in the Web Developers Guild
• Coach engineers and share what works with other teams to help everyone adopt and master new AI-driven ways of working

Essentially, to ensure you succeed in this role, you're going to need...

1. Hands-on experience building AI developer tooling others use: agent skills or rules, MCP servers, custom agents, or AI steps in CI
2. Senior-level experience shipping production software, with solid web development in JavaScript or TypeScript
3. Daily use of coding agents on production work, and a clear view of where they fail and how to catch it
4. Sound architecture judgement and the ability to change how other engineers work through coaching, curiosity, and practical enablement
5. At a minimum, we require conversational-level English language skills. Why? English is our company language and is used for any business-wide communications, so we need you to be able to speak English to feel like an integrated part of Booksy.

It will also help you to have...

1. Production experience with Vue
2. Python backend, iOS (Swift), or Android (Kotlin) experience
3. A track record of leading a change in engineering practice across more than one team
