About LiveData: LiveData is a premier, internationally recognized health technology pioneer, clinical workflow automation innovator, and cloud-based surgical software leader on an absolute mission to optimize hospital Operating Rooms and improve patient outcomes across the country. Helping manage over two million surgeries from small private medical facilities to expansive Veterans Health Administration hospitals nationwide, LiveData automates complex clinical and operational data pathways across multi-tenant Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2025—marking its sixth consecutive year on the prestigious index—LiveData operates with a lean, highly proficient, AI-native engineering team. The studio treats advanced AI coding assistants as standard development tools, building on a serverless-first AWS architecture under the Shared Responsibility Model to ensure rigid data security. LiveData provides high-agency software engineers with an uncompromised remote canvas to leverage state-of-the-art browser automation suites, manipulate encrypted medical records, and deploy life-saving healthcare software safely across the United States.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior Software Engineer - RPA v2 to join our core centralized Engineering collective in a full-time remote capacity across the United States, with a strong operational preference for candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone. Functioning as a critical technical pillar within our AI-native development squad, you will step up to claim individual strategic and operational accountability for designing, building, and governing robust automation interfaces that seamlessly bridge legacy clinical software systems with modern web tooling. Shifting completely away from routine drag-and-drop bot building, passive clerical script modifications, or detached maintenance, you will operate as a hands-on backend code craftsman writing production automation code inside Claude Code and VS Code. This position requires an engineering veteran with 2+ years of automated systems history who handles data loops fluidly natively using Python language structures, builds performant browser interactions smoothly natively using Backend and API integration frameworks (Playwright or UiPath Studio), and governs serverless cloud database schemas confidently.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End EHR Automation Engineering: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust end-to-end robotic process automation (RPA) solutions interfacing directly with core healthcare EHR networks, including Oracle Health/Cerner, Epic, and MEDITECH platforms natively utilizing Python environment architectures.
  • High-Performance Browser Automation Curation: Build, scale, and optimize complex browser-based automations and web navigation systems natively leveraging Backend extensions, prioritizing Playwright script blocks or UiPath Studio architectures for detail-heavy clinical data entry tracks.
  • AI-First Workflow Execution and Validation: Lead day-to-day software development tasks from the command line using advanced AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot), demonstrating a deep capacity to validate, audit, and refine AI-generated code snippets using rigorous software engineering practices.
  • UiPath Enterprise Stack Governance: Configure, manage, and scale corporate automation workflows within UiPath Studio and Orchestrator environments, implementing advanced Robotic Enterprise Framework (REFramework) templates, queue-based data ingestion schemas, and resilient error-handling matrices.
  • Multi-Protocol API Integration Triage: Architect and secure performant application programming interfaces and endpoints, ensuring clean data mapping paths over REST APIs using JSON payloads and OAuth authentication tokens.
  • Serverless Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and monitor automation workflows over a lean, serverless-first AWS infrastructure layer, writing data validation routines across AWS Lambda, S3, and Aurora Serverless nodes.
  • Clinical Process Discovery and Documentation: Lead process discovery workshops alongside hospital IT staff and clinical operations groups, turning loosely defined, unoptimized operational bottlenecks into clear, scannable technical documentation and deployment playbooks.
  • Full-Lifecycle Software Ownership: Support your developed automations end-to-end, collaborating with Quality Assurance (QA) cells on test plans and DevOps teams on active production environment tracking.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of verified professional history running advanced robotic process automation (RPA), end-to-end browser automation development, backend software engineering, workflow optimization, or health informatics consulting.
  • Profound hands-on proficiency writing production-grade code in Python, paired with direct execution history using at least one major automation platform (such as Playwright, Selenium, or UiPath frameworks).
  • Deep, authoritative technical command of object-oriented programming, relational database schemas (SQL), serverless architecture patterns, and command-line shell environments (Unix/Linux scripting).
  • Expert-tier capability writing reusable automation libraries, mapping endpoint attributes, and handling structural exceptions natively utilizing Python development environments.
  • Practical operational familiarity organizing enterprise automation queues, configuring API contracts, and monitoring background data models natively using Backend and cloud-native computing metrics.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and document communication traits in fluent English, enabling uncompromised clarity when explaining sophisticated technical approaches to non-technical clinical stakeholders and business personnel.
  • Location Context and Mobility Notice: Position open to qualified automation engineers based permanently and resident within the United States (100% remote work-from-home setting, excluding Hawaii). Applicants must possess full baseline authorization to operate without requiring current or future visa sponsorship, alongside the operational readiness to travel approximately quarterly to the Boston, Massachusetts area for in-person corporate gatherings.

Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)

  • Prior commercial software engineering history operating explicitly within the healthcare technology, medical billing SaaS, revenue cycle operations, claims processing, or tightly regulated compliance sectors.
  • Direct hands-on familiarity with global healthcare data transmission standards, specifically parsing HL7 message blocks or FHIR data contracts.
  • Possession of industry-vetted professional credentials, such as a UiPath Advanced RPA Developer or Solutions Architect Certification.
  • An outcome-driven personal philosophy matching the LiveData core team: possessing an absolute bias toward shipping, an appetite for using generative AI to drastically amplify your daily code output, and a desire to see your software directly optimize clinical environments.

What We Offer

  • Competitive United States Salaried Blueprint: An attractive full-time base compensation package structured transparently between $145,000 and $175,000 USD per year, calibrated precisely to evaluate your automation depth, Python craftsmanship, and AI integration velocities.
  • The exceptional professional canvas to directly direct, shape, and code-engineer the workflow automations power-routing efficiency across clinical operating rooms nationwide.
  • Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering an elite virtual workspace model, high scheduling flexibility, and zero physical geographic office commuting friction across America.
  • Immediate baseline access to premium comprehensive enterprise benefits, providing robust medical, dental, and vision insurance protections for you and your family.
  • Access to elite financial accumulation and personal enrichment provisions, featuring an enterprise 401(k) retirement savings plan, covered Paid Time Off (PTO), and continuous development mapping inside an award-winning workplace culture.
