Senior React Native Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior React Native Engineer to help build, enhance, and refine a production mobile application using React Native, Expo, TypeScript, and modern React.

This is a highly hands-on frontend mobile engineering role focused on delivering polished, intuitive, and high-performance experiences across iOS and Android.

You'll join a small, fast-moving engineering team, collaborating directly with technical stakeholders and backend engineers to turn high-fidelity designs into production-ready mobile interfaces.

The ideal candidate has strong React Native expertise, exceptional attention to UI details, and the ability to quickly understand an existing codebase and deliver meaningful improvements from the first week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain production mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
• Build new mobile screens and improve existing interfaces across iOS and Android.
• Translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-accurate, responsive, and visually polished mobile experiences.
• Develop interactive mobile features involving conversational interfaces, content presentation, and user interactions.
• Ensure smooth animations, transitions, navigation, and native-feeling interactions.
• Build reusable, maintainable React Native components using modern React patterns and hooks.
• Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve UI issues, performance bottlenecks, and platform-specific inconsistencies.
• Write clean, well-tested, maintainable, and documented code.
• Deliver small, reviewable commits and participate in code reviews.
• Occasionally contribute to React-based web interfaces.
• Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and deliver improvements.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in mobile UI quality, performance, and maintainability.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional experience building and shipping production React Native applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React development.
• Experience working with Expo or comparable React Native development workflows.
• Strong understanding of React hooks, component architecture, and modern React patterns.
• Proven ability to implement high-fidelity UI designs.
• Strong attention to mobile UI/UX details, including spacing, typography, animations, and native interactions.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing existing production applications.
• Strong understanding of testing and code quality practices.

Must Have:

• 3+ years of production React Native development experience.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency.
• Strong experience with modern React, including hooks and component-based architecture.
• Practical experience with Expo, or strong React Native experience with the ability to work effectively in an Expo codebase.
• Experience delivering production mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Strong ability to translate high-fidelity designs into polished mobile interfaces.
• Excellent attention to UI consistency and visual accuracy, typography and spacing, animations and transitions, responsive mobile layouts, and native-feeling user interactions.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs or similar backend services.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Ability to quickly understand and contribute to existing codebases.
• Experience working with code reviews and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to deliver independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Clear communication and reliable availability during agreed working hours.
