Want to know if you're a match for this job?
Foundation Health is an AI operating system for pharmacy, built by a team deeply embedded in healthcare. Their mission is to eliminate delays in prescriptions, reduce pharmacist paperwork, and leverage AI to streamline care coordination for specialty pharmacy. The stakes are high: a missed bug could delay a patient's medication.
Foundation Health is scaling a Series A team, building AI-native infrastructure that integrates directly with EHRs and is already live with enterprise customers.
The Role
You will be the gatekeeper ensuring that only safe, high-quality features are presented to pharmacists. This role demands a unique blend of 3+ years of QA experience, deep technical expertise, and the ability to innovate.
Key Responsibilities
You must:
- Possess a strong foundation in regression testing, UAT, and documentation that others can rely on.
- Have an instinct for identifying edge cases and manually testing critical scenarios.
- Push boundaries in testing AI features, where outputs are non-deterministic.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity rather than as a novelty.
- Develop custom tooling, such as test data generators for clinical scenarios, harnesses for evaluating LLM outputs, and internal agents to automate repetitive tasks.
The Stack
The team works with Node.js, TypeScript, SvelteKit, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). They use Playwright for frontend automation, Postman for API and integration testing, and cutting-edge tools like Playwright MCP and agentic workflows for testing AI features.
Collaboration
You will report to a VP of Engineering with a background in DeepMind/Google, who is deeply involved in the codebase. You will work closely with the QA Lead and engineers shipping features, not just through a ticket queue.
The team is small, so your contributions will be highly visible.
Requirements
3+ years in QA or software testing, with deep experience in web apps and APIs.
- Playwright expertise and the ability to determine when to automate versus manual testing.
- Manual and UAT experience, including running UAT with external healthcare clients.
- Experience with enterprise products and understanding the high stakes of system failures.
- Experience using AI tools daily or testing AI-powered products.
- A strong technical background, such as a CS or numerate degree from a reputable institution, or a proven track record of promotions.
- Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or pharmacy is a significant plus, including familiarity with HIPAA, PHI handling, and clinical data accuracy.
The Setup
The role is remote-first across the US, with a preference for the East Coast due to time zone alignment with the UK-based engineering team. Orlando is the primary US hub, and relocation support is available if needed.
Regular in-person gatherings are expected.
