Wikimedia Foundation
View Company ProfileThe Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that hosts Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, and several other free knowledge projects. Unlike tech giants that sell user data or show ads, Wikimedia is funded primarily by millions of small donations from readers (wohi banners jo kabhi kabhi Wikipedia par aate hain). Their mission is to empower and engage people around the world to collect and develop educational content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally. They don't write the content themselves; instead, they provide the server infrastructure and software (MediaWiki) for the community of volunteers.
