RevenueCat gives app businesses the infrastructure and tools to build, run, and improve their monetization. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch, we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile, present in 50%+ of newly shipped subscription apps, processing $16B+ in annual purchase volume, and helping developers from solo creators to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.
We're a remote-first team of 150+ people across 25+ countries, guided by values like Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance.
The Role
As Senior Product Manager, User Acquisition, you'll explore how RevenueCat helps developers not just monetize existing users but acquire the right users to grow their business.
RevenueCat already has footholds in user acquisition, including Apple Ads integration and partnerships across the attribution and MMP ecosystem. However, we're still defining what a broader RevenueCat user acquisition product should become. You'll be the first dedicated product hire in this space, reporting directly to our product lead for Ads, with significant autonomy to shape strategy and product direction.
This is a zero-to-one role. You won’t inherit a roadmap. Instead, you’ll deeply understand how app developers acquire users today, identify gaps where RevenueCat can solve problems more effectively, and turn those insights into testable, scalable products.
You’ll leverage your expertise in mobile performance marketing and user acquisition to explore opportunities spanning attribution and measurement, products built on existing acquisition channels, optimization tools using downstream monetization data, partnerships, advertising infrastructure, or entirely new ideas.
RevenueCat’s unique advantages include relationships with a vast ecosystem of app developers, deep visibility into subscription and monetization outcomes, embedded infrastructure in apps, and a growing advertising business. The challenge is determining how these assets can create uniquely valuable solutions for developers seeking growth.
About You:
You have 5+ years of experience owning meaningful product or growth decisions end-to-end. Your title may vary (e.g., Product Manager, founder, growth leader), but accountability for deciding what to build and whether it worked is key.
You have deep, hands-on experience with mobile user acquisition—either managing and optimizing acquisition for mobile apps or building products/infrastructure for acquisition teams. You understand how developers acquire users, measure performance, and allocate budgets.
You’re fluent in the modern mobile acquisition stack, including MMPs, attribution, Apple Ads, Meta/Google advertising, conversion APIs, and measurement infrastructure.
You can analyze attribution, performance-marketing economics, and privacy, including concepts like CAC, LTV, ROAS, optimization signals, ATT, SKAdNetwork, consent management, and how downstream behavior influences acquisition decisions.
You thrive in zero-to-one environments, breaking down large, ambiguous opportunities into testable product bets and finding pragmatic ways to validate them before major investments.
You’re sufficiently technical to collaborate with engineering on integrations, APIs, SDKs, data flows, identity, and attribution—critical for technical product decisions.
You communicate clearly across diverse audiences and media, particularly in writing.
First Month:
Spend time with developers to understand their current user acquisition processes, performance evaluation methods, and pain points (e.g., fragmentation, opacity, or cost).
Build a deep understanding of RevenueCat’s existing acquisition-related products, integrations, data, customer research, and technical capabilities.
Develop strong relationships with engineering, design, data, go-to-market, and other product teams to align on user acquisition priorities.
Map the acquisition ecosystem, identify RevenueCat’s unique strengths, and pinpoint key assumptions needing validation.
Form your initial point of view on how RevenueCat can create differentiated value in user acquisition.
First 3 Months:
Narrow the broad user acquisition opportunity into concrete product hypotheses, grounded in customer research, market insights, and RevenueCat’s unique advantages.
Recommend a clear focus area and justify why it’s the best first step.
Begin validating the direction through prototypes, design partnerships, technical exploration, lightweight experiments, or initial shippable bets.
Establish a learning agenda to address the biggest risks and unanswered questions, ensuring a fast path to increasing or decreasing conviction.
Align senior stakeholders on the testing plan, what’s not being pursued, and the evidence needed to pivot.
First 6 Months:
Ship a substantive user acquisition product or gather decisive evidence to change or stop the bet before scaling.
Generate real market data on where RevenueCat can—and cannot—create differentiated value.
Take ownership of product discovery, prioritization, and execution for user acquisition.
Develop an evidence-backed point of view on the most promising opportunities and the capabilities needed to pursue them.
Refine the strategic opportunity into a focused product direction.
First 12 Months:
Establish a clear strategic direction for RevenueCat in user acquisition, backed by customer behavior and product evidence.
Ship meaningful products or experiments that create measurable value for developers or significantly alter understanding of the opportunity—including killing bets when evidence doesn’t support them.
Develop a credible long-term roadmap to turn early signals into a meaningful RevenueCat product area.
Become the primary individual contributor (IC) product owner for User Acquisition and the internal expert on how developers acquire, measure, and optimize users.
Help define how RevenueCat’s monetization data, developer footprint, and advertising capabilities can collaborate to create a differentiated position in app growth.
