Providers are at the heart of Headway's mission, and the tools they use every day shape both the quality of care patients receive and providers' ability to sustainably run their practice. Some of the biggest administrative drag in a provider's week comes from managing their clients — keeping a calendar current, staying on top of messages, and coordinating scheduling and intake.

As a Senior Product Manager, Client Management on our Provider Experience team, you'll own the end-to-end experience of how providers manage communication, scheduling, and intake with their clients — and lead our 0→1 bet on an AI "front desk" that can handle that coordination on the provider's behalf. Done well, your work helps providers spend less time on logistics and more time on care, keeps availability accurate so patients can book and show up, and makes the experience between sessions feel seamless for everyone.

What you'll own

  • Problem discovery, solution design, and delivery across calendar/scheduling/availability, patient↔provider messaging, client lists, and client profiles
  • The 0→1 strategy and execution for AI/agentic workflows that automate client coordination — defining where automation adds value and where a human stays in the loop
  • A clear product strategy and roadmap, translating provider and patient needs into prioritized, high-craft execution
  • Success metrics across provider retention, engagement, and patient access — monitoring, iterating, and raising the quality bar for your area
  • Tight cross-functional partnership with engineering, design, data, and clinical to ship reliable, intuitive experiences

You'd be a great fit if…

  • You have 5+ years of product management experience building and shipping high-craft, user-centric products with complex workflows
  • You operate end-to-end — from discovery and strategy through execution and iteration — and thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • You bring strong product judgment and UX sensibility, and care deeply about details, edge cases, and experiences users trust
  • You're data-informed and use qualitative and quantitative insight together to drive decisions
  • You're a strong cross-functional partner who builds alignment and drives momentum without formal authority
  • Nice to have: you've shipped LLM/agentic product features, or worked on messaging, scheduling, or calendar surfaces

Headway is a massive, highly disruptive HealthTech platform fundamentally rewiring the broken mental healthcare system in the United States. Headquartered in New York City, the company tackles the critical access problem where over 70% of therapists do not accept insurance due to overwhelming administrative burdens. Under the hood, Headway operates as a powerful, software-driven national network that seamlessly connects patients, mental health providers, and top-tier insurance companies (like Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare). They handle all the heavy lifting for providers—including credentialing, billing, and revenue cycle management—allowing therapists to easily build private practices while accepting insurance. Their primary target audience spans millions of Americans seeking affordable, in-network mental health care, as well as thousands of licensed psychiatrists and therapists looking to eliminate administrative friction. What sets Headway apart in the rapidly scaling digital health landscape is its asset-free network model; by removing the billing nightmare, they empower patients to find highly personalized, covered therapy sessions (often for $0) while scaling to over 65,000 providers and 30 million completed sessions nationwide.
