Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior Product Designer to join our core centralized Product group as our first permanent product design hire in a full-time remote capacity restricted to candidates resident in the United Kingdom. In this high-stakes, sole product designer seat, you will claim individual strategic accountability for managing, defining, and shipping the entire UI and UX experience across our consumer web platform, administrative desktop tools, and native mobile applications. Shifting completely away from simple production tracking or passive template layout modifications, you will act as a premier visual craftsman setting the complete brand aesthetic direction. This pivotal seat requires a B2C fintech design veteran who manipulates complex data-heavy interfaces fluidly, constructs scalable component libraries from scratch inside collaborative canvases, and structures conversational finance components for artificial intelligence platforms under compressed timeline schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End UI/UX Product Ownership: Command and drive the complete product design lifecycle across web, desktop, and mobile app properties, executing paths from early user discovery down to shipped product lines.
• Scalable Information Architecture and Wireframing: Formulate, optimize, and maintain consistent user interface structures and highly interactive data flows natively utilizing UI/UX Design best practices.
• Enterprise Figma System Governance: Build, govern, and continuously update a world-class centralized design system, structuring reusable components, variables, and responsive layout patterns natively leveraging **Figma** software registries.
• High-Converting Member Onboarding Curation: Design intuitive, low-friction digital onboarding flows that convert and retain a diverse, multi-tenant public sector audience.
• Complex Financial Data Visualisation: Transform extensive financial calculations, balances, and savings metrics into clear, meaningful, and highly actionable graphical dashboards to guide high-stakes user decisions.
• Conversational AI Interaction Engineering: Lead the user-experience development for Max, our AI-powered money coach, shaping how hundreds of thousands of members navigate conversational finance interfaces.
• WCAG 2.2 AA Accessibility Auditing: Run rigorous, structured design and code compliance accessibility reviews to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, checking that the software ecosystem operates beautifully for everyone.
• Asynchronous Cross-Team Delivery Planning: Partner daily alongside internal product managers, developers, and marketing cells, contributing directly to agile sprint ceremonies, usability testing loops, and delivery roadmaps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven professional history running advanced product design, corporate user experience engineering, digital art direction, or interactive fintech platform consulting.
• A deep, state-of-the-art product portfolio demonstrating exceptional design craft, data made simple, consumer financial tool integration, and high-converting customer workflows.
• Expert-tier software proficiency managing automated component workflows, auto layouts, and multi-page design systems natively leveraging **Figma**.
• Deep, authoritative technical command of modern design principles, including responsive systems, vector grids, interface typography, and motion design natively using UI/UX Design methodologies.
• Proven capacity to autonomously lead project briefs, operate as a sole or principal designer within a scaling business environment, and make user-centric choices based on testing statistics rather than assumptions.
