Being a Senior Pharmacist Clinician at AIOS

We are building a world-class team.

At AIOS Tech (Bolt Pharmacy), we're building the world's first full-stack AI doctor. Right now it’s akin to assisted self-driving (and improving every day), so humans are still doing everything with AI assisting their workflows.

You’ll not only function as a Team Lead, but you’ll help provide feedback to the Product teams to improve the in-house software that you and your team uses each day. You understand that a great patient experience means all information needed to prescribe is collected on intake so patients don’t get stuck in back-and-forth messiness.

You’ll pick up complex, escalated patient situations and smoothly resolve them within minutes, not hours, never compromising on safety or accuracy.

You’ll make sure every prescriber on your team is working through an appropriate number of tickets, and accuracy is never a concern.

You’ll:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based GLP-1 prescribing—for your own patients and for every patient your team touches
  • Take full accountability for the day-to-day clinical quality, safety and governance of your team
  • Set the clinical standard and lead from the front on the most challenging cases
  • Lead the rollout of new protocols, medicines and clinical technology across your team

Great performance in this role means growth is never constrained by clinical capacity, prescribing quality or governance gaps. If you nail this role, you’ll be a leading candidate for future senior Clinical hires.

This is a full-time, remote role.

You’ll report directly to Mobeen, our Interim Clinical Ops Lead.

You’ll also work most closely with:

Key responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead clinicians in a fast-moving, regulated telehealth environment, and set clear standards on prescribing quality, audit and escalation.
  • Escalations: Take the complex cases yourself - comorbidities, polypharmacy, off-label decisions - and turn them into better protocols and patient questionnaires by providing feedback to the Product team.
  • Set the Bar: Reinforce high standards, urgency, radical candour and zero tolerance for mediocrity within the org.
  • Team Performance: Run regular audits of prescribing quality and protocol compliance, investigate errors and near misses, and escalate serious safeguarding, regulatory or data-protection concerns fast. Make sure your team meets minimum rates.
  • Protocols: Translate new evidence and regulatory guidance into practical clinical process, contributing to refined protocols.

Need to have

  • Clinical Leadership: GPhC-registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber annotation, ≥5 years post-registration, and real experience leading or supervising other pharmacists.
  • GLP-1 Depth: You've prescribed weight management, GLP-1s or a closely related clinical area. Comorbidities and polypharmacy don't scare you, and complex cases are where you're most useful.
  • Governance: You have a track record of running or supporting clinical audit, governance, incident review or quality improvement, and know how to turn findings into changes that stick.
  • Data: Data is your language of love. You use prescribing accuracy, audit compliance and turnaround-time data to remove emotion and variability from clinical decisions.
  • Performance: You're comfortable operating in a highly metrics-driven environment, where expectations are clearly set and standards relentlessly upheld.
  • Integrity: You do the right thing even when no one is looking, and make sure every prescriber in your team does the same. Red flags don't get past you.
  • Sharpness: You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to build simple systems that keep the team moving fast without getting sloppy.
  • Collaboration: You work effectively across clinical, operational, customer experience and dispensary teams - and are comfortable challenging senior leadership when needed.

Nice to have

  • Startup/scale-up experience: you have worked in a high-growth environment where priorities change quickly, the bar keeps rising, and nobody hands you a playbook.
  • Distance-selling experience: you've worked in an online or distance-selling pharmacy and understand the realities of remote, GPhC-regulated care.
  • Protocols: you've contributed to the development of clinical policies or prescribing pathways before.
  • Postgraduate: you hold a postgraduate clinical pharmacy, leadership or management qualification.
  • AI-native: you use AI tools to move faster, improve quality, reduce admin, and increase your own output.
  • Agentic: you are a doer. You have been pulled into important problems, taken ownership outside your lane, and figured things out without waiting for permission.

Our cultural standards

We aim to make this your life’s work. This should be the most challenging, most rewarding role of your life. Accordingly, these are the core cultural standards to which we hold ourselves & our team-members:

  1. Belief in the mission: We will have served 100 million patients by the end of 2035 and we transform the life of most patients who join. We have a lot of work to do. We are obsessed with our patients and are dedicated to the mission.
  2. Unwavering integrity: We are at the frontier, so we often live in ambiguity with no trodden path. When we can’t look to others for guidance, we must maintain impeccable ethics and unwavering integrity.
  3. Only the paranoid survive: Bad sh*t is coming. By joining us, you’re choosing to sail straight towards the storms with unhesitating conviction. However much we’ve already done, however far we’ve already come — it’s still Day 1 and all our work is ahead of us.
  4. If we’re average we fail: We are only interested in “insanely great”, a focus on the quality of our execution that in everyday life would be considered pathological. We have a dedication to excellence and reject incompetence.
  5. Commitment to candor: That which can be destroyed by the truth should be. You get full transparency from the company and the company expects full transparency from you. We never say anything about someone that we wouldn’t say to them directly. We give feedback with love and do not need to protect people from fleeting physical sensations.
  6. A maniacal sense of urgency: We execute at an intensity that most people think is impossible. Speed is critical and we need things done yesterday. We all work very hard and in such a competitive world there really is no other way to win.
  7. Enduring frugality: We are frugal. We hate being wasteful and we are anti-luxury. A culture of cheapness keeps us young. We spend our cash wisely & carefully — in a way that would make our grandmas proud.
  8. Bulldozing barriers: The world is malleable and we shape it. We truly believe this and act accordingly. We are relentlessly resourceful and are at the mercy of no-one but ourselves. You’ll be shocked how capable you are and how much you can achieve.
  9. Keep your head down: We’re boring people doing exciting work. We don’t chase short-term status — we ignore short-term dopamine hits and focus on what matters. Outsiders will underestimate us and we revel in that.
  10. The power of focus: We live in a world of power laws and we cannot overestimate the unimportance of practically everything. Know your One Thing, and nail it.
