The Role
Can you spot an influencer who’ll actually sell? You know that good partnerships don’t just “create buzz.” They drive revenue, build authority, and make competitors wonder how you’re everywhere at once. You know how to build a scalable affiliate program where the right partners drive sales, the right experts build trust, and every campaign has the tracking and reporting to prove it.
If that sounds like you, you might have what it takes to be the Senior Partnerships Specialist at AlgaeCal.
This job will give you ALL the feels:
We create clinically supported, natural solutions for some of the biggest health challenges women over 40 face today. Your work will help more women discover those solutions. The creators, affiliates, and experts you bring into our world will help women find information they can trust, feel more confident in their choices, and take action on their health.
If that excites you, you’ll find no better place to continue your career than here.
Key Responsibilities
- You know how to find the right partners. A creator with 500,000 followers doesn’t automatically make your pulse race. You look at audience fit, engagement, credibility, brand alignment, and whether there’s a realistic path to revenue. You’re here to build a pipeline of influencers, creators, affiliates, and healthcare experts who can actually perform.
- You’re comfortable working with performance data. ROAS, CAC, conversion rate, attributed revenue, and performance by partner aren’t things you leave for someone else to figure out. You know how to read the data, spot what’s working, kill what isn’t, and put more money behind the partnerships that deserve it.
- You know how to build strong relationships. Great partnerships aren’t built by firing over a contract and resurfacing three months later asking for a report. You know how to build trust, communicate clearly, create offers people actually want to say yes to, and keep good partners wanting to work with us again.
- You understand how affiliate programs work. You’re not the kind of person who opens Impact, Klear, GRIN, or Shopify Affiliates and stares hopefully at the dashboard. You understand recruitment, activation, commission structures, incentives, optimization, and what it takes to turn a handful of affiliates into a real growth channel.
- You know how valuable the right expert can be. Healthcare professionals and science experts aren’t there to make the About Us page look impressive. The right expert can build trust, strengthen credibility, and make people pay attention. You know how to help find, nurture, and manage those relationships.
- You know how to make campaigns measurable. UTM tags, GA4, attribution, affiliate links, conversion paths, dashboards—you want the plumbing in place before anyone hits publish. You can build clean tracking systems, spot reporting holes, and make sure every partnership has a clear line of sight to performance.
- You know how to manage a budget. You know when a creator is worth the fee, when the numbers don’t stack up, and when it’s time to negotiate harder, change the deal, or walk away.
- You know how to get campaigns over the finish line. Brief → negotiation → content → compliance → approvals → launch → tracking → reporting → optimization. You’ve managed the whole thing before. You can keep multiple campaigns moving at once.
- You keep an eye on the competition. You notice the patterns, find the gaps, and turn what you learn into better ideas for us.
- You’re good at getting different people to work together. Creative, paid media, compliance, analytics, external partners—you can keep everyone aligned without turning every decision into a meeting.
Requirements
- 3+ years in influencer marketing, affiliate management, partnerships, creator growth, or a similar role. Bonus points if you’ve worked in health, wellness, supplements, D2C, eCommerce, women’s health, or another category where credibility matters.
Other Qualities You’ll Need
- You’re humble—you put the team and others’ needs ahead of your own.
- You’re hungry to learn more.
- You’re people-smart—in the sense that you’re a great teammate.
Benefits
- A generous healthcare package
- Monthly team events and activities
- Flexible Stat Holidays with the option to bank days for later use
- Weekly team lunches
- Casual dress code
- Incredible dog-friendly, Yaletown office one block from SkyTrain
And above all, you’ll join a team that you’ll never want to leave.
