Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptionally metrics-driven, product-minded, and autonomous Senior Mobile Engineer to lead native development for our core credit suite on the Thrive squad under a permanent, full-time remote engagement framework within the United States. Operating as an essential technical pillar within a lean, high-leverage team (comprising a staff iOS engineer and an Android engineer), you will step up to claim direct narrative, funnel optimization, and feature delivery accountability across our flagship credit-building lines and cash advance utilities. Shifting completely away from internal development tools, pure infrastructure plumbing (app build speeds or local system tooling), or basic web-view modifications, you will run an active user behavior analysis, split-testing configuration, and multi-variant conversion laboratory—partnering face-to-face with product managers, UI/UX designers, data scientists, and distributed backend squads. This position requires an iOS authority with 5+ years of consumer product history who writes beautiful, highly resilient applications fluidly natively using iOS and Swift architectures, evaluates quantitative user signals cleanly inside advanced data tracking platforms, and directs full platform features confidently to transition into standalone iOS codebase ownership within 6 to 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Funnel Optimization Ownership: Design, refine, and scale the native client experience across our primary lending products, taking direct responsibility for boosting application and approval funnel conversion metrics.
• Product Experimentation Engineering: Build and implement robust user experience test structures natively utilizing iOS environments paired with modern feature-flagging utilities (Statsig, LaunchDarkly) to validate product hypotheses before deployment scale.
• Outcome-Driven Solution Architecture: Take high-level performance targets independently, collaborating directly with creative designers and product owners to map and build technical conversion levers without relying on rigid step-by-step specs.
• Regulated Code Compliance: Enforce non-negotiable precision across client logic, understanding that database discrepancies in lending products trigger severe compliance mandates, corrective regulatory notices, or fee adjustments.
• Cross-Platform Team Synthesis: Partner with engineering, data science, and product pods to coordinate end-to-end client-server data synchronization that scales gracefully from network routing tables down to the local UI view state.
• Future Codebase Governance: Master the overarching iOS ecosystem alongside our staff engineer, preparing to assume comprehensive engineering ownership of the entire client-facing iOS application portfolio within a 6-12 month horizon.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of verified professional history operating as an iOS developer, with a definitive emphasis on shipping consumer-facing mobile products.
• Mandatory Focus Requirement: Proven background building mobile applications that real users engage with daily; profiles focused primarily on non-consumer internal infrastructure are not a fit.
• Direct, hands-on experience instrumenting mobile application codebases for product experimentation, utilizing tracking or analytics tools like Amplitude, FullStory, Statsig, or LaunchDarkly.
• Proven capacity to drive abstract metric problems independently, evaluating the mobile funnel holistically to ship iterations and capture user engagement signals cleanly.
• Meticulous attention to detail, recognizing the downstream operational and compliance risks of minor code defects inside a strictly regulated financial services ecosystem.
• Excellent verbal and written communication strengths in English, ensuring clear architectural debates and smooth documentation tracking across multiple time zones.
