Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical, systems-minded Senior Mobile Engineer to join our core centralized Fandom team in a full-time remote capacity across the United States. In this high-leverage technical seat, you will step up to claim individual operational accountability for owning the development of new features from initial conception through to release. Shifting completely away from legacy application maintenance, you will act as a principal mobile architect—partnering closely with design teams to set new standards for app beauty and usability. This position requires an iOS veteran with 5 plus years of experience who programs complex applications fluidly natively using Swift and SwiftUI, drives architecture decisions smoothly, and obsesses over both pixels and view models.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-Lifecycle Feature Execution: Own the comprehensive development of new mobile features, guiding them strictly from conceptual design through robust development and seamless App Store release natively utilizing iOS methodologies.
- Application Architecture Governance: Continuously audit, improve, and scale the core iOS application architecture, driving critical decisions and maintaining a strong sense of mobile best practices.
- Cross-Functional Design Collaboration: Partner intimately with distributed design squads to set new industry standards for application beauty, usability, and accessibility on the iOS platform.
- Technical Mentorship and Peer Synchronization: Collaborate peer-to-peer with, teach, and learn from other iOS engineers and cross-functional product teams to raise the overall engineering bar.
- Multi-Platform Code Exploration: Show an active interest in exploring technologies beyond the immediate iOS ecosystem, including developing APIs natively leveraging Python or writing Android components using Kotlin.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 plus years of verified professional history running advanced mobile application development, software engineering, and architectural scaling explicitly within the iOS ecosystem.
- Deep, authoritative technical command of programming complex applications natively using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Expert-tier capability navigating legacy and modern Apple frameworks, displaying working familiarity with Objective-C, UIKit, and Mapbox integrations.
- Practical operational familiarity utilizing modern infrastructure and mobile deployment tools, specifically Xcode, Fastlane, Mixpanel, Firebase/Crashlytics, and Datadog.
- Demonstrated experience developing beautiful, highly useful applications that are currently live and functioning in the Apple App Store.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, demonstrating the ability to see large, complex projects through to absolute completion.
- Location Context: Position open exclusively to qualified mobile engineers based permanently and resident within the United States to operate under a 100% remote home-office layout.
Preferred Strategic Indicators (Nice to Have)
- Prior commercial history delivering production-grade code across multiple mobile operating systems, specifically utilizing both Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android.
- Hands-on functional familiarity developing robust backend APIs using Python.
- An outcome-driven personal philosophy rooted in high accountability, a deep obsession with granular design details, and a passion for building products loved by millions of fans.

- Profound work-from-home remote parameters offering an elite flexible environment, complete scheduling trust, and a dedicated WFH stipend to support your home office setup.
