Senior Manager, Talent Operations

Core Responsibilities

You will build Zocdoc’s Talent Operations function from the ground up, ensuring recruiters focus on people, not process. This hybrid IC/manager role involves hands-on tooling, knowledge management, data analytics, process optimization, and team leadership.

Key Areas of Focus

Tooling & Systems

• Own and optimize the recruiting tech stack (e.g., Gem, Greenhouse, BrightHire) to align tools with workflows, not the other way around.
• Identify gaps in the stack, evaluate and recommend new tools/integrations, and manage vendor relationships.
• Build and maintain integrations between systems to ensure seamless data flow across the recruiting lifecycle.

Knowledge Management

• Design and build a scalable knowledge management system, including playbooks, SOPs, onboarding materials, and process documentation.
• Keep documentation current and serve as the source of truth, avoiding outdated or redundant materials.

Data & Analytics

• Partner with TA Leadership and People Analytics to build recruiting dashboards and define critical metrics like pipeline health, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, quality of hire, and funnel conversion.
• Ensure data integrity across systems for trustworthy, self-serve reporting.
• Translate data into actionable recommendations, not just reports.

Process & Compliance

• Continuously assess and streamline recruiting processes to improve efficiency and enhance candidate/hiring team experience.
• Collaborate cross-functionally (Legal, People Systems, Total Rewards) to implement compliant processes.
• Standardize processes globally in partnership with TA managers and leaders.

Team Leadership

• Manage and develop a team of 2 Recruiting Coordinators, with plans to scale as the function grows.
• Set rigorous, documented standards for operations that outlast individual contributors.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of experience in Talent/Recruiting Operations, People Operations, or a closely related function, with a track record of building an operations function from scratch.
• Deep, hands-on experience configuring and administering an ATS (Greenhouse strongly preferred) and sourcing/CRM tools (Gem or similar); experience with BrightHire or interview intelligence tools is a plus.
• Proven experience building dashboards and recruiting metrics/reporting, ideally in collaboration with a data or analytics team.
• Experience managing or mentoring a coordination team.
• Strong project management skills to run multiple workstreams and align cross-functional stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating as both an individual contributor and a people leader.
• Experience in fast-paced, global organizations with adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Excellent documentation instincts to ensure lessons are learned and shared.
