Sitting close to executive leadership, you will translate multi-faceted operational and project-level data into actionable strategic insights that guide major capital allocation decisions. Team overview

This team plays a critical role in advancing Intersect's mission to accelerate the clean energy transition by delivering the financial clarity, forecasting rigor, and liquidity management necessary to construct transformational infrastructure. The FP&A team partners directly with corporate leadership, development, and operational groups to allocate capital efficiently, mitigate risk, and maximize long-run value across our utility-scale clean energy and data center portfolio.

What you'll do

Lead Portfolio Forecasting and Liquidity Planning

  • Build, maintain, and enhance dynamic corporate cash flow, liquidity, and capital forecast models for multi-gigawatt energy and data center assets.
  • Monitor ongoing liquidity positions, working capital needs, and capital draw schedules across project pipelines.

Drive Executive Decision-Making and Reporting

  • Synthesize complex financial and operational metrics into strategic analysis and executive presentation decks for the CFO and senior management.
  • Develop scenario models and sensitivity analyses to evaluate business trade-offs, market shifts, and capital structure decisions.

Partner Cross-Functionally Across the Enterprise

  • Collaborate closely with Corporate Treasury, Project Finance, Accounting, and Capital Markets to align liquidity management with strategic objectives.
  • Establish scalable budgeting frameworks and standardized forecasting protocols across corporate and project entities.

Build and Elevate FP&A Team Capabilities

  • Provide direct guidance, technical mentorship, and quality control for financial models built by junior FP&A analysts.
  • Champion continuous process improvement in modeling standards, workflow automation, and tool utilization across Google Workspace and Excel.

What you'll bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field; MBA or CFA credentials preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate FP&A, treasury, or financial modeling experience within capital-intensive sectors like clean energy, power, or infrastructure.
  • Advanced mastery of corporate cash flow forecasting, liquidity tracking, and quantitative modeling using Google Sheets and Excel, complemented by executive presentation skills in Google Slides.
  • Deep familiarity with utility-scale capital project expenditure cycles, project finance dynamics, and corporate capital allocation strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of presenting complex financial analyses directly to C-suite executives and senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated capability to navigate fast-paced, ambiguous environments with autonomy, analytical rigor, and sound business judgment.
  • Alignment with Intersect's core values of Equity, Humility, Authenticity, Long-run Value, and People Come First, with a dedication to mentoring and elevating team members.
