Position Overview

Real Chemistry seeks a Senior Director of Advertising Analytics to serve as a senior analytics voice within our advertising practice. This leadership role combines deep analytics and marketing expertise, client relationship management, team development, and financial responsibility to drive integrated analytics programs across pharmaceutical and life sciences engagements. The Senior Director will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, embed analytics into creative and omnichannel workflows, help manage and grow a book of business, and build a high-performing team that positions Real Chemistry as a leader in data-driven advertising innovation.

This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including Boston, Chicago, Carmel, Lambertville, or Wilmington—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Director of Advertising Analytics is a senior voice on advertising analytics engagements — setting identifying strategic analytics needs, connecting analytics to client business strategy, and leading teams to deliver meaningful impact.

  • Strategic Client Leadership: Serve as the client lead on advertising analytics projects, providing strategic guidance on approach and solutions. Establish credibility with partners and clients and engage in senior-level conversations that drive client business strategy.
  • Business and Revenue Management: Successfully identify new and organic opportunities with clients and convert them to profit-generating business in a financially intelligent and proactive manner.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with integrated partners across Real Chemistry to help identify, scope and secure new analytics opportunities. Be able to proactively reach out and build relationships that enable resourcefulness and operational excellence.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead teams by understanding individual strengths, providing constructive feedback, and creating environments that support growth and development. Connect the project team to the strategic WHY behind client work and ensure team members understand how their contributions impact client business outcomes.
  • AI-Native Ways of Working: Work fluently in AI-enabled research and analytics environments — applying prompt-based workflows, rapid insight generation, and lightweight, low-code, or vibe-coding approaches for analysis, synthesis, and prototyping where appropriate — while exercising strong critical thinking and ethical judgment about AI's capabilities and limitations in healthcare contexts.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years in analytics leadership roles with substantial advertising and marketing experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
  • Prior leadership experience at healthcare communications agencies or advertising agencies serving pharmaceutical clients, with understanding of creative workflow integration.
  • Proven success selling analytics services and managing revenue targets. Demonstrated ability to develop and close opportunities for analytics solutions within pharma and healthcare marketing ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in omnichannel marketing, social listening and audience analytics. Knowledge of paid media a plus.
  • Demonstrated practical experience using AI-enabled tools for research, analysis, synthesis, and insight development, along with familiarity with prompt-driven workflows and iterative experimentation. Exposure to lightweight coding, scripting, low-code tools, or modern analytics platforms is a plus. Be able to exercise strong judgment about when AI accelerates thinking and when human reasoning is essential, particularly in healthcare contexts.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical marketing compliance requirements, data governance standards, and healthcare regulatory environment. Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and ethical data use principles a plus.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and senior marketing leadership. Experience recruiting, mentoring, and inspiring high-performing analytics teams.
  • Proven ability to lead a team or pod — drawing out individual strengths, connecting people to growth opportunities, and bringing the big-picture thinking and appetite for innovation that helps your team grow into what's next.
