Senior Copywriters work to solve client marketing challenges with an emphasis on ideating creative concepts, developing strategic messaging frameworks, and articulating key messages within a designated narrative framework and brand voice.

Their core responsibilities include technical writing, concept development built on a foundation of strategic insight, and detailed oversight during creative production, regardless of medium and campaign size.

A successful Senior Copywriter is an experienced leader in advertising, capable of guiding clients through the creative process with a collaborative approach. They lead projects in all stages of development with intelligence and positivity—from research and pitching to production and delivery. They help the team to balance the needs of clients with production capabilities, ultimately working to ensure the success of every deliverable.

  • Lead conceptual development and pitching efforts by creating and directing visually inspiring concepts and content.
  • Lead the creation of client approved messages and themes that succeed across mediums, formats, and campaign types.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant client contacts, becoming an expert on brand culture, products, preferences, and expectations.
  • Lead client-facing conversations focused on the development of campaign messaging and assets.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with Design, Motion, and Production staff, ensuring that concepts meet the requirements of all departments.
  • Maintain and promote an internal awareness of industry design trends and standards, including relevant cultural and digital news.
  • Facilitate creative development by providing detailed direction, feedback and constructive criticism to design and motion staff.
  • Promote a positive creative culture through teamwork, and lead by example.
  • The occasional on-site content shoot (may require travel between 1-2 times per year).
