Senior Cloud Architect (AWS) - Enterprise Solutions

Responsibilities

Act as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers, working closely with executive stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.

• Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, technical design reviews, and cloud strategy engagements.
• Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-optimized AWS architectures aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Design and implement AWS landing zones, multi-account environments, hybrid connectivity, disaster recovery, and enterprise networking solutions.
• Architect and operate production-grade Amazon EKS and Kubernetes platforms, including networking, security, autoscaling, monitoring, and high availability.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives involving containers, microservices, serverless services, and cloud-native architectures.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including reusable modules, remote state management, and multi-account deployments.
• Integrate Terraform and infrastructure automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Design AWS networking solutions using VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.
• Define and implement IAM, security, encryption, governance, compliance, and FinOps best practices.
• Troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments, including networking, system services, performance, application issues, and production incidents.
• Support enterprise web platforms including IIS, Apache, and Nginx.
• Develop operational and infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive preventive improvements across cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Produce architecture documentation including HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, migration plans, technical proposals, and SOWs.
• Mentor engineering teams, conduct architecture reviews, and establish cloud and platform engineering best practices.
• Support pre-sales activities through technical solution design, estimation, proposals, and customer presentations.

Qualifications

Required:

• 8+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise AWS environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Amazon EKS and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Advanced Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state, enterprise landing zones, and multi-account architectures.
• Strong AWS networking knowledge, including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.
• Strong experience with IAM, cloud security, encryption, governance, compliance, and AWS security best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of cloud cost optimization, FinOps, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Strong troubleshooting and administration experience across both Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with IIS, Apache HTTP Server, and Nginx.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or Datadog.
• Strong customer-facing consulting, stakeholder management, and technical communication skills.
• Experience producing enterprise architecture documentation and leading technical workshops.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Mandatory certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional OR AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
